LS Fest 2023 trip recap, made some passes and hurt a 5.3!

Back in the mid-70s I was drag racing my '67 Chevelle every weekend from late May to mid October at a dragstrip in southern Ontario. The only ones I missed were when the car was broken. And there were a lot of those the first summer unfortunately. 396, 4-speed car. Sooo much fun and there were 4-5 cars in our group every weekend. We took turns dragging cars home when we broke. We only did 1/4 mile back in those days. Lots of great memories. Saw some iconic drag cars too....Little Red Wagon, TV Tommy Ivo, Jungle Jim, Dick Landry. Glad to hear you had a good time and it wasn't too hurtful. Be safe and stay well.

One thing about your trip with the open turbos. The inlet needs to be covered or taped off when you're towing with an open trailer. The obvious is like what happened to Austin. You risk getting water in the intake, but also the wheel is turning with the airflow, but there is no oil supply going to the bearings.
