Hi, thx for the clearly explained video. I just got a 2015 BMW X1. Unfortunately is a base trim. Today I went to couple of stereo installation shops and both said these monitors are junk and break like in a month or two. Is yours still working and can a backup camera be connected to this monitor? Thx
I don’t have the vehicle anymore but sounds like they had bad experience. I had the vehicle for 6 months. When I did, it worked completely fine. I did install the back up camera. Keep in mind this is not a review of product but to help people install a new unit for there vehicle and save money from stereo shops that will basically charge and arm and leg. I would re-check the wires. Make sure its fully seeded and wired correctly... Use my video as reference... As you can see my installation worked fine.. Also, there maybe be a short somewhere in your in install... Good Luck!
They should trace the AUX into the harnass. If it is wired in, all good. If not, the aux from the head unit needs to be plugged in t the AUX port. Also, they sound will always be from the unit ONLY in AUX mode on the unit.

I have a problem with my x1 2015 radio and everybody in town says I can't put a junk yard salvage radio in the car because the car's computer wont recognize it so I am living with a car radio where the volume button doesn't work rather than pay the dealer $1400 for a new radio
@@Jim007baker don't take my word for it but I'm 80% sure it doesn't need to be programmed. The best advice I can give you is to either call/email the manufacture of this product with any queries you have mate.
Hi, I can only tell you that my unit that I installed works perfectly fine till this day. (I sold the car to my cousin.) I cannot speak for the rep at the shop you went to... So in short, answering your question that would be FALSE.

@@jjcomertpehlivan_coach7400 Unfortunately, I do not know how to fix your white line during mirroring. Try reaching back to the seller maybe its something with the software. I added movies through a usb drive and hid it in the glove compartment.

These units aren’t junk man. They last years. I install them for a living. The shop just doesn’t know how to do it. Stay away from them.

Put the radio in.
