- I tried to lay Jon's voice bare here, giving it more "natural" sound and loved discovering how much vulnerability this vocal take actually has that I personally never noticed in the album version. The version is ascending or accelerating, whatever you wanna call it. From Dave to Tico to Richie, everyone "comes in" to walk Jon a bit throug the song before the orchestral part gives off the grand finale (which I always loved and hence never really wanted to change). The balance surely is a little different, even in the end, I just went with what I thought worked best and still had each instrument mostly clear in the mix.

You gave new life to my second favorite song of WAN. Every instrument now sounds as it should, and Jon no longer sounds robotic. Great!
Your remixes really bring out the best out of those newer songs that got lost in that overproduced sound of the new bon jovi albums. PLEASE do "Pictures of you" in the same way, one of the most underestimated songs!
That'd be interesting 'cause I'm one of those who never shared the love for Pictures of You (I know many like that one). Maybe "tearing it apart" will make me find some more appreciation for it 😃

These remixes are interesting because you're simultaneously improving these song and also, to my ear, making their problems even clearer. A lot of times we (well, definitely I!) complain about the instruments being blurred into the (in)famous wall of sound. But the vocals were often handled just as badly, if not worse. They just lack the warmth and humanity of the old days. Here, you've definitely improved Jon's vocals -- which means the still "robotic" places stand out even more. And Richie's voice still sounds computer-generated. Am I wrong that his vocals were even more overproduced than Jon's?
Anyway, I hope it's clear I'm not critiquing your work 😂-- but the work of the 'pros.'

If you only were the producer instead of Shanks I genuinely think this album would’ve had a much more favorable reception. There’s some potential and great Jon and Richie harmonies, but the production botched the album. Great work again!!
