Freddie Mercury said this man was the best male vocalist on the planet. He is/was absolutely correct!
True. John is brilliant
Absolutely!
Wow, brilliant coming from Freddie, but absolutely true!
What about mick?
is that true
John is the best male vocalist and performer of all time. His stage presence, unlimited range, appreciation for his band and fans and all round nice guy. His music is timeless, can sing in any genre, including opera, mic technique, everything. And there’s not many performers who can spin a corded mic around like nun chucks in perfect timing to keep signing and throw the mic stand in the air several meters as well as singing to perfection. Epic.
Listen to this in the car on a freeway at night really really loud.....
Just do it.
Wish I was born earlier so I could have seen John during his peak. I would have fawned over him! Nothing like a talented and kind man
Greatest thing was seeing him become Australian of the year in 1988. So darn awesome
Best range of any singer EVER in the world. No joke.
True statement.
My god! Who is this awesome singer we in the USA never got to enjoy? Just happened across this while listening to covers of "Raindrops keep falling on my head" John Farnham rocks!!
Yes! Funny just tonight I saw this vid for the first time, and was wondering the exact same - why Farnham doesn't seem to be known much outside of Australia. I never paid much attention to him when I was a kid, but catching up on some of his performances I'm realizing what a knockout live singer and presence he is. Some new faves - Farnham with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra singing 'Comic Conversations' - ua-cam.com/video/KSic-_zaLEQ/v-deo.html , with the Little River Band 'Reminiscing' - ua-cam.com/video/iYgh_Irk46M/v-deo.html and with Olivia Newton John 'Please Don't Ask Me' - ua-cam.com/video/2uV_tZODfK8/v-deo.html . Wish I had seen him in concert!
He also sang a song called Jamie, I named my son after that song, great voice, too bad he was born in England, lol

Johnny Farnham was 19 or 20 here.
(Ron: Perth, Australia)
people in america might be more familiar the thunder sound track he did for the rad bmx movie.
My Darling John Farnham. He came to the USA once but didn't want to sell his soul to the USA. He preferred to stay home :)
Great singer, great bloke. Legend !!!
Great song!!❤❤👊💯
Freakishly talented
Australia’s darling. A brilliant talent and a gorgeous person too. Saw him first when I was 7 🥰

John Farnham - " THE VOICE "
My mother in law gave me her complete collection of JF cds before she passed …they will be well used and cherished ..he really is amazing
One is the loneliest number..however, music brings us together,..forever..regards Karolyn Melbourne Australia
This is a magnificent performance
Absolute Genius what a tragedy to learn of his current battle with cancer, His voice will never be equalled LEGEND JF
This performance... still AWESOME! Get well soon John.
Brilliant, fantstic, powerful, gutzy!!!! bring it on bro
World class, and a top bloke.
Great voice and what a song!
When men were men and we loved them for it. I miss Australian music voices, and the independent sounds each band had. I miss these amazing live performances that relied on talent rather than a theatrical production. Aussie music of the 80s and early 90s was the best. So were the band names: Skyhooks, Sherbet, Little River Band, Australian Crawl, Hoodoo Gurus, Yothu Yindi, Goanna, Midnight Oil, Boom Crash Opera, The Black Sorrows, Hunters & Collectors, INXS, Gangajang, Men at Work, Icehouse, The Little Heroes, AC/DC, The Church, Cold Chisel, Choir Boys, Noiseworks and many solo artists too. What does Australian have on offer now in 2021.... insert chirping of crickets....
Gang of Youths, King Gizzard, Stella Donnelly, DZ Deathrays, Skegss, Alice Skye, Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett, Waax, Alex The Astronaut, Amyl and The Sniffers, These New South Whales, Dulcie, Hockey Dad, Body Type, Emily Wurramara, Voiid, The Terry's, King Stingray, Private Function, Gooch Palms, Gretta Ray.
the list goes on
ANGUS BURCHALL!! I can’t believe I misspelled his name somehow.
great song, great voice, great bloke
This was the first record I ever bought, my son still has that single in his record collection

This one is my favourite Farnham song.
I've just been listening to John's rendition of One when he was 19 (?). Playing them side by side. Wow his voice is a treasure for the world to enjoy. He must have trained a lot to perfect such an instrument as he has!
Love when John adds that grit to his voice. He can sing anything
reminded me of his fantastic voice
My god!!! His voice makes me melt.
Don’t talk... just sing...this is one of the best song video clips you ever did... your voice is awesome in this!

@@jacquieholmes4064rightly so!
After all these years, being an Aussie ....find that this, one of my fave songs, was written by Harry Nilson & also done by Three Dog Night! 🤯
And the best version. Give it a listen, if U have not?

Always loved that one!!..🥰🥰
When this tune was released in 1969 John Farnham was known to me as "Johnny" Farnham and this song remains one of my all time faves since being introduced to his music and i say rock on Whispering Jack because you among many other loved ones iof mine in or out of music have a "temporary" hold of my heart. I must say in fairness to "Whispering Jack" he owns my very heart! Peace.

Very upbeat ...... I remembered........ 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🎤
A little Lou Gramm in his voice!
How many Americans out there NOW realise that John Farnham would have kicked Lou Gramms arse at any LIVE venue if they had both agreed upon doing just that! Come on folks John Farnham reproduced his tones on the stage LIVE EVERY time! Fair shake of the saveloy people, wake up to your f-----g selves for C----S sake! Peace.
I will learn this song
He was hot here!
You Remembered!!
❤
This was an 'extra' on one of his 80's vinals. This is the only copy of it I think. But it's a gooooood version. A soul tweaking voice
In 1969, this song was a sort of psychedelic thing, it's not really meant to be hammered out onstage with full projection like this.
Similar in sound to John Waite but with 3 x the presence!! Absolutely loved his songs; they were always almost a whole octave higher than most males can sing.
Wow
💛💛💛
We remembered ..😁pip pips
am growing a blonde mullet in respect
zum verlieben, nicht nur die stimme ;-)
🧚🏻♂️🌌🦅
Get rid of the damn ads! What? Did John approve this?
🧚🏻♂️☯️🌌🦅
Hii
John Farnham was the Lou Gramm of Australia years ago in my opinion and much better 'live"but John was ten to one hundred fold better than Lou Gramm yet i remain a devoted fan of Lou Gramm also in 2020 the year of the ? whatever b.s.... Peace.
Great song. Nice voice/cover. Original artists were Three Dog Night.
No, sorry your wrong. The original artist was Harry Nilsson, still Three Dog Night proabbaly have the best version of the song.
Thanks. Didn't know that. Wasn't a big Nilsson fan.
John Farnham blows Chuck Negron award with his vocal ability.
Actually Harry Nillson recorded his own song first, but John Farnham actually recorded the song before Three Dog Night. Though worldwide their version is the most recognized.
Though, if you hear the song in Australia, incl. the Three Dog Night version, most people would say "Who's that singing the John Farnham song?" 😁
@@dave0678 Three Dog Night released their cover in '68. Farnham released his cover in '69.
Music never improved after the 80/90s.
