Haha nice!! Mine was almost 10yrs ago now. It blew out a wee bit in areas, and didn’t want to stick in some others, so I’ve had it redone, and it looks like it could use another touch up. That is certainly the tattoo that has hurt like heck when being done! Figures! 🤣🤦♀️🙂📸
Thank you for this tutorial and sharing your knowledge and talent. You have helped me tremendously with a project I’m working on. Also, your tray is very beautiful.
Thanks! Yes, you can definitely use UV resin to top it! I used the epoxy resin for a few reasons. The main one is cost, as UV resin costs more in general than epoxy resin. The second reason is I just love the liquid diamonds to make sure it’s clear and free of bubbles. And the last is that quite a few epoxy resins will yellow slower over time than UV resin. Thanks for watching and the question! 🧡😊
If I understand you correctly, no it would not work. I only used clear resin in this project. It’s the paint that makes the ‘bubbles’ stand out when adding more resin. If you were to do this without painting, you’d be putting clear resin on clear resin, and it would just fill everything in, and make it look like just a solid clear layer of resin. Thanks for watching!
💕Love Love LOVE 💕your work and videos.☺ I'm your 800th sub! Cool! Congrats on so many fans-you are definitely one of my favorite artists on YT. Your videos are SOSO good. Very informative, entertaining and inspiring. 🎨Please keep em' coming- and now I continue binging!♡☆
Yes, of course! I have never used the sun to cure the resin, so I’m not sure how long it would take. I’d recommend doing a test piece - you don’t need much, just a small puddle on some plastic wrap would work. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Kristy! Yes, it’s color changing! I’ve been obsessed with them for years! 🤣 I get mine from EBay, as that’s where I find them to be the cheapest, but you can find them on Amazon too. They come from China though, so it takes a month+ to get them! Search for color changing UV gel polish. There’s TONS of options! I recommend the ones with 3 colors though, as I find they change more often than just 2 colors. Have fun! 💅
@@JOTZdesigns i want to try to custom some sneakers with a soft resin that i can pour on some parts then use the soap bubbles technique to create a texture. So the resin has to adhere to the leather but flex too..
Yes, of course! Keep in mind that UV resin is quite a bit more expensive than epoxy resin, and if it’s in a container like this you may notice the shrinkage that UV resin typically has. Thanks for watching!
What a great effect & tutorial, thank you for sharing! Can I ask though.. is there a specific reason why you used epoxy resin as the top layer as opposed to just sticking w/ the UV resin? I do have both types but honestly I'm just too impatient sometimes to wait for the epoxy to cure, so I'd prefer to use UV for the whole thing. I just don't know if you did it that way for a specific reason that I can not think of. Thank you again!

The second reason is I just love the liquid diamonds to make sure it’s clear and free of bubbles. And the last is that quite a few epoxy resins will yellow slower over time than UV resin. This effect works best on UV resin because it cures so quickly. If you use it with epoxy resin, the bubbles will mostly disappear by the time the resin cures, and you will not get this kind of result. Thanks for watching!
Yes, you can. You’ll not be able to make it opaque, though, or the UV resin will have a hard time curing. The bubbles do not show as well either. Thanks for watching!
Ohh thanku for the reply! ❤ Can i ask you one more question plz I have heard that UV resin gets yellow in 6-7 months of time. So how will the jwellery and other stuff that we make with uv resin last?
All of the UV resin items I have made have held up really well. I made my mom a necklace in Dec 2018, and it has not yellowed at all! Granted, they’re not exposed to long periods of sunlight, so that helps. If something were outside all the time, I could see it yellowing in 6-7months.
Oooo... Thanks a bunch.. This really helped I just ordered a whole jewellery making kit and later get to know about yellowing of Uv resin and was worried since then. So thanku so much for clearing this out. Much Love from India❤
Happy to help! Keep in mind, all resins WILL yellow over time, some sooner than others. I’d recommend doing a test with the brand you got. Place a small amount on 2 separate white things (a tile, or white card stock paper), and fully cure each. Then place one in outside or in a window that gets direct sunlight, and the other inside away from direct sunlight. Then over time you can compare the 2 and see how quickly your specific brand may yellow.
I like it 👌. 😎. Thanks 😊 Lisa
Thank you!! 🧡☺️ Thanks for watching!
This is SO COOL🤯! The insane amount of things that can be done with resin is kinda overwhelming!
No kidding!!! It’s so fun to do though!! Thanks for watching! 🧡☺️
This looks so fun! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! 🧡☺️ Thanks for watching!
Very pretty I saw Petra use the soap bubbles how fun it looks
Thanks! I saw her video too. Simple and fun for sure!
FAR OUT, I just got some uv resin. So exciting & fun. Thank you Elisa ! You are totally amazing.
Thanks Lisa!! This one is so easy! I’ll have another video of this technique soon (Monday?) actually!
I have the exact same smile tattoo on the same finger lol! Love it! Got it like 12 years ago. 😂

Love how it turned out. Those jaquard paints are gorgeous 💜💜💜
Thanks Tish! They are gorgeous!

Thanks!! Super fun and easy! Do it!! 😁🧡😘
How cute is that? I love it
Thanks Laura!
😳😱🤯WOWWWW
Thank you! Fun and easy! 🧡☺️ Thanks for watching!
Can you get the same effect from epoxy resin for the first part? Such a cool idea.
Thanks!
No, this will not work the same with epoxy resin. It works with UV resin because of the fast curing time.
Thanks for watching!
Thankyou for sharing
Thanks for watching! 🧡
This is cool!
Thanks so much! 🧡
What a great idea, looks awesome.
Would this same technique work on a canvas piece with the bubbles?
I have tried this on several surfaces, but I haven’t tried on a canvas yet. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work though! Thanks for watching! 😊
Beautiful 👍❤️
Thank you!! 🧡
Great tutorial! Why did you finish with epoxy resin? Could you finish with UV resin? Thanks

Thanks Karen! 🧡
That was cool! And the dimensions of the paint in the grooves 😍
Thanks Tina! That paint is amazeballs! 🧡
So I have a question if you were to do that on a white canvas would you still see bubbles with clear resin

is it possible to do this effect with regular resin and not uv resin?
I do not think it is possible with general epoxy resin, due to the long curing time compared to UV resin. Thanks for watching!
Can I put it in the sun if I have no uv lamp?
Yes, of course! I have never used the sun to cure the resin, so I’m not sure how long it would take. I’d recommend doing a test piece - you don’t need much, just a small puddle on some plastic wrap would work. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Kristy! Yes, it’s color changing! I’ve been obsessed with them for years! 🤣 I get mine from EBay, as that’s where I find them to be the cheapest, but you can find them on Amazon too. Is there any resins flexible? That you could apply on leather/clothes!
The only one I know of is soft UV resin. I have yet to try it myself, but from what I understand it’s soft like a gummy bear. Thanks for watching!

Give Soft UV rain a try! Let us know how it works!

@@lassanamasso2687 Awesome!! I have seen it at Hobby Lobby, too (If you're in the US)!

Hi happy New year 🎈🎆🎊
Happy new year!!? 🎉🎈🥂😘

I was thinking that, dang. Thank you
Can't we mix color with uv resin in the first layer itself for the bubbles to come out colored and not to paint it afterwards?
Yes, you can. You’ll not be able to make it opaque, though, or the UV resin will have a hard time curing. The bubbles do not show as well either.
