We have many beautiful small towns such as Olsztyn. My latest discoveries are Chojnice and Bolesławiec. Of the more important and beautiful ones, there is also Lublin. A specific city just in the process of development and modernization is Łódź. Poznań - a beautiful city with lots of parks and its own lake. A small town like from Italy: Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisłą. The wonderful climate of Bielsko-Biała. Toruń, which was not destroyed during the 2WW. Bydgoszcz, which has been rebuilt and is rebuilding beautifully, has many canals and is called Polish Venice. Other noteworthy cities: Przemyśl, Zamość, Zielona Góa, Jelenia Góra, Świdnica, Sanok, Łańcut, Sandomierz,Leżajsk, Stary Sącz, Kłodzko, Międzygórze w Sudetach (called a small Switzerland in Poland in Sudets), Szklarska Poręba etc.
In Poland money goes to the people. We agressively push the minimum wage / salary up, so public space is neat, safe and consumer spending is strong, which gives stability for the overall economy. I am proud of Warsaw, but tbh good looking places like Olsztym are even more positive outcome, as they are much less obvious. Regards!
You need to go to Gdansk! We've just returned from one of the best city breaks we've ever experienced - regardless of having to use Ryanair to get there!
I did a quick research and haven't found any ranking claiming that Olsztyn is Poland's happiest city. The closest thing was some celebration of the chimney sweepers in Olsztyn in 2019 (people believe they bring luck in Poland) so there were some headlines about Olsztyn being the luckiest place in Poland(szczescie=luck=happiness in Polish)
@RogerPhillips-lm3sj Thank you. I have just arrived in Madrid, on my way to Alicante. Not sure if I'm happy this morning, as I chipped my tooth on a fork in the airport lounge
In 1520 the astronomer Nikolaus Kopernikus, , acting as administrator in the name of King of Poland, along the military commander Paweł Dołuski, both defended Olsztyn against Teutonic Order invasion led by Great Master Albrecht Hohenzollern.

He ia allowed sugar early in the day, but not at night, as it makes him to hyper 😂
Olsztyn is the most beautiful place in Poland. The capital of the great Masurian lakes is the eighth wonder of the world
Ahh, awesome to know. Thanks 😊
@@MorgansWorld760Absolutely not. Olsztyn is a capitol of Warmia , not Masuria. The capitol of Masuria is Elk.

The happiest city in Poland, according to locals survey, is Gdansk ( date from 2024 year)
@joannajulke9978 Hi, it's probably all open to interpretation and perhaps preference. I also did a vlog on Gadansk, and it is a beautiful city

Yeah it is up for interpretation, What do you think it is or where you are from?.
@@MorgansWorld760
In the newest ranking I could find Gdansk was first and Olsztyn was 16th.
@@jankowalski6338 Good to know. Thanks
It's called Królewiec and it's Czechia.
Thanks for that
Leave Poland to the Poles!
We're hospitable, plenty of room for respectful guests.
Does that comment mean Polish people shouldn't travel or work in other countries?
SO SOOO FUNNY❤

Shame about the grafitti on the buildings etc.
I would have thought the authorities would have removed all the grafitti. Grafitti looks so unsightly.
@@davidyoung9561 if it's tasteful graft, then it might be considered art, but you are right it should be removed

Poles do not call it "Stein" they call it Olsztyn, pronounced: "Olshtin".
Great to know! Thank you
I'd pronounce the city ˈɒlʃtɪn
10:25 writing on the church "Jezus Chrystus Jedyny Zbawiciel" eng. Jesus Christ the only Savior". "jedy" pron: "yediny".
