Six reasons why atheism is unsuccessful to regain popularity percentagewise worldwide... Complexity Cause Fine tune DNA code True experience The powerful gospel of The Risen Lord Savior Jesus Christ
The usual debunked arguments: Fine tuning - no constants have been demonstrated to be tuned. Anthropic/puddle reasoning (distinct from FTA) - relies on assuming that things are noticeably existent because they were intended to be rather than because they exist and were noticed. KCA - relies on special pleading a particular something from nothing Contingency - relies on special pleading that contingency exists Design - relies on comparing known human design with known lack of design then assuming everything unknown is designed. Irreducible Complexity - still not demonstrated to exist Objective Moral Values - still not demonstrated ontologically
Complexity: an indicator of _NATURAL PROCESSES,_ not design. Cause: CANNOT get you to a "god". To "solve" this issue, you simply _DEFINE_ your "God" into that role. Fine tuning: IF it exists, is great evidence for a multiverse. An omniscient and omnipotent god has ZERO use for a universe that runs itself. DNA: Not a "code". This is simply as ANALOGY that biologists use to help the UNEDUCATED (like you) understand what it does. It is demonstrably naturally occurring and naturally able to increase in complexity. "True experience": Woo. "Blah blah blah... Jesus": The largest cult is still a cult.
The Bible has a lot of hang ups on heterosexual sex too, so no surprises it condemns homosexuality. Obviously its not written or inspired by some god, but reflects the social views of the era.

I think it reflects this insistence that relationships, gender and sexuality aren't fluid cultural contexts. So the Bible may or may not say something about how to live your life but unless the entirety of the culture exists those rules are pointless.
Some of my family has trouble realizing that “choosing” to love someone doesn’t sound like genuine love. And if it was a choice, why would homosexual couples make a choice that makes them a target for religious persecution? chance of marriage rights being revoked?

Something off-topic, as a European, why do some Americans say 'aks' instead of 'ask'?
It's a variant of the word that goes back to Old English. It's often associated with particular non elite communities and persists as an ingroup shibboleth.

So, a loose collection of writings by sheepherders from the Bronze Age got the morals right and they're immutable?
Well I mean they are the same thing at least the same category of things they're both. Divergent sexual orientations caused by sort of understood but not fully understood mental and social changes. The difference is one is between consenting adults and the other is not.
What does the Bible say about pedophiles?
@@robbyrobaunless it's the virgin daughters of your enemies
It says it's better not have been born than it is to be a pedophile
@@tryme3969no it doesn't
It's in favour of it. God impregnated a 14-year-old without her consent and Exodus 21: 7 says it's ok to sell your daughter to sex traffickers.
@@tryme3969 "It says it's better not have been born than it is to be a pedophile"
Your collection of fantasy short stories does not prohibit incest between father and daughter - nor outline any punishment for it. Also, your deity impregnated a 12-14-year-old girl without her consent. Your holy book has no problem with pedophilia.

Jesus wasn't hateful. His two commandments are Love God and love others. John 3 16 records the most loving act anyone can do for their friends - and we are called His friends. The Gospel is an invitation to KNOW Him, His love and His great promise for everlasting.
God was hateful, Jesus was just ignorant
So, I'm just sayin... I've heard plenty of my atheist friends reference marvel movies, or something equally ridiculous when talking about moral issues. As atheists we don't believe the bible, but we probably don't believe marvel movies happened either. Am I going to whine and cry on the internet about people who reference shit that didn't happen when they're discussing moral issues? Lmao, only if they're actually doing something harmful, and 99% of the time atheists have to go full soccer player and start making shit up to justify being mad.

Those people obsess with trying to change the society, laws, education etc, to reflect their religion... It's bad enough that we all pay extra taxes to compensate for churches and religious organization not paying any... or very little...
No one is suggesting that we should all bow down and worship Iron Man and I sincearly doubt that your friends were actually using Marvel Movies as a bases for morality. The reason why we fight back against the religious is because they genuinely believe that the Bible, a 2000 year old book that commands that women be barely more valuable than an ox, is a good thing to base our modern day morality on.

From a biological perspective heterosexuality and bisexuality make sense, but how can homosexuality still exist?
It's not necessary or desirable for all members of a species to breed
There goes your biological perspective
Because homosexuality is innate, it will always exists until animals will exists.

Six reasons why atheism is unsuccessful to regain popularity percentagewise worldwide...
Complexity
Cause
Fine tune
DNA code
True experience
The powerful gospel of The Risen Lord Savior Jesus Christ
The usual debunked arguments:
Fine tuning - no constants have been demonstrated to be tuned.
Anthropic/puddle reasoning (distinct from FTA) - relies on assuming that things are noticeably existent because they were intended to be rather than because they exist and were noticed.
KCA - relies on special pleading a particular something from nothing
Contingency - relies on special pleading that contingency exists
Design - relies on comparing known human design with known lack of design then assuming everything unknown is designed.
Irreducible Complexity - still not demonstrated to exist
Objective Moral Values - still not demonstrated ontologically
