I was absolutely horrified to read that the members of Omega X had to purchase their own tickets to fly home to Korea!! Seriously?? That piece of crap CEO Kang just left them stranded??!! They need to be rescued from that terrible nightmare of an agency.

@@PatricrussI don't think she was entitled though she was toxic/abusive. she's facing culture shock bc asian countries run differently. for example it wasn't long ago teachers were still physically disciplining students (idk if that stopped). perhaps physical discipline is more common than we think. at the very least many ceos even those working for some office corporate job might yell at their employees idk. so for her this is what she's used to. you also have to keep in mind that these agencies are working with very young kids sometimes so they have to raise them/parent them too bc parents are not present at the dorms in a trainee life. some teenagers will mess around and do teenage stuff - they need to be told off and told to take their jobs more seriously. i'm speculating that maybe this is the reason kpop agencies use physical and verbal "discipline". ofc eventually it gets out of hand and might turn into a habit. from her perspective she's dealing with what I assume is a nugu group and small, unknown agency. to book them gigs so that they can actually earn money is very difficult and stressful. she's probably irritated that a member is getting sick and is making hard to fufill schedule - cancelling venues would be a pain in the -- and very expensive. both the members and stuff were exhausted and overwork and pulling all nighters. women tend to be more easily cranky sometimes so maybe this is what it was and what she meant by being "taken care of the members" (i.e. I managed to book you the venues you have to fufill your obligations of finishing all performances successfully). not to mention that she was dealing with a loss so emotions were high. anyways while I can see her perspective I'm not defending her behaviour of using violence.

It’s incredible that these boys against one woman were in utter FEAR during this encounter. They were respectful because they are afraid. The fact that one of them broke down makes me nauseous. This clearly shows how much of a powerful grip these awful bosses have on the boys. This is NOT okay. This company NEEDS to COME CLEAN!
I also think Korean respect-the-older-person makes this even worse as someone like 3 months older can be named a idk noona/hyung etc so even if the woman was 30, she'd still could talk down to them as she is older. In a Starbucks the entire staff left because someone was fired because they were in a council or so.....wish omega x could make such a power move but idk it's hard to wrap my head around their situation as in my country this would fly. @@gansz_lol That is very true. In my country, standing your ground to anyone would also fly. In Korea, it’s always taught to be respectful to elders regardless of the circumstance. Definitely plays a role in this situation. I am truly so sad for these boys. :/
they're a bunch of fit 20 something men and this little woman is holding so much power over them and scaring them to such an extent - shows you anybody can be a victim of abuse. along with the elder respect that the other comment mentioned, they're also at risk of their whole career ending if they disobey or upset the CEO. idols do not have many rights or agency unless they're super popular (and even then who knows what goes on behind the scenes! even some of the most successful groups are overworked etc.) so they're very vulnerable to this sort of treatment. it's really disturbing and upsetting.
This woman is taking advantage of these boys' desperation to become successful. They are enduring it so their family won't be heartbroken that they fave idol life a second chance.

in the statement spire released i was actually shocked as to how they could claim the evidence came from antifans, and how they straight out said that she ‘doesn’t *usually* act like this towards the boys’. this woman needs to be taken into police custody, she’s so shameless and manipulative. thank you for covering this, people need to know what’s going on
I am not surprised about that whole statement that they released. It sounds like someone who is trying to protect their spouse/partner. So if those two are indeed married. I can see the husband using his power to have the company release a statement about this issue. Also abusing his power towards the boys as well. That woman is not going away at all. She is only trying to save face because she got caught. If she does leave it will only be to hide until all the media dies down. Once that happens she will be back again. The way they're trying to dismiss this whole situation by saying that it was just "a disagreement" between the staff and the members is absolutely insane! Who in their right mind would believe that?! Im so confused by her claim that the members "didn't give her help or care when she was having a hard time"??? They're technically her employees wtf??? This was outright cruel. Somebody who is sick, just needs to go to hospital. Imagine she was following Jeahan to the elevator to continue her abuse, when another member who looks like Hangyeom stopped her in addition to the another staffer that pulled her back. There is another video of her at the NY concert where she caught screaming at the other staff. The lady is just wild. By keeping them in the US they are avoiding them speaking to reporters. I think OX is best protected and comforted at home in Korea. We use to crowd fund for this sort of thing for other groups do not know if this is possible anymore
Hopefully justice will be done for Omega X and the CEO will be dealt with legally for the disgusting Abuse and mistreatment towards these talented young men should be treated as Human beings. Kang needs to take accountability and responsibility for this behavior
for once, reporters are doing a good job like this one, hoping that the boys can find a new company as a group. imagine you as a parent of an idol and your kid is facing this kind of treatment from the company, you will truly feel sadden and shock to hear this.
The fact that she thinks that the members should take care of her when it is her responsibility to take care of them and make sure that they are ok. She is only able to be a CEO and have a company because of OMEGA X. I followed Omega X during their debut era and I lowkey forgot about them but I feel so bad for them because they don't deserve any of the mistreatment that they have dealt with

It's understandable though, it's always the abuser who thinks the world revolves around them and that they're entitled to pity from the people they abuse. In terms of the CEO thing, she basically is only able to be in her position because Omega X HAS to deal with her in order to achieve their dreams. She knows Omega X can't stand up to her and even if they do, her husband's not going to fire her.

This is insane! I don't stan them but I'm 22 and been a kpop fan of almost a decade now, well aware of shitty company practices- and this!? Is shocking, disgusting, and painful to watch and hear. It really hurt to not see any other staff step up, but then you consider she's the CEO like... What do you even do in such a situation 😢 I always have a soft heart for idols trying to get a second chance, I definitely will keep an eye on their situation now ❤️
This is why I can't be a Kpop idol, I personally wouldn't let that slide. I'm so sorry for Omega X I hope they get the justice they deserve, they need a restraining order or something against her cause she needs to stay away from them at all costs.
The thing is, once you sign their contracts, you become their property, which include NDA's in which you are prohibited from speaking out. They own rights to everything you have and create for *years* . You're legally obligated to do what they say unless you pay a hefty fine to get out of the contract (that's why I find really young minors in kpop as such a sad risk).
They should make a police report in LA since the ab*se happened here. I hope that they get help, and they can get away from this situation. No one deserves to be treated like that at their job (or anywhere else), even if that job makes you famous. She needs to be held accountable for her actions.

There is and there is even worse but like we can oly go by "what we've seen and heared" if there is evidence for it otherwise companies give us a more or less (acted) apology stick video and are moving on. I mean I remember from hearing bout physical punishment that were borderlining torture to Managers hitting their employees being almost on the daily (even though many say these days it's more a thing of days past) I am sure in some not so famous Groups and companies it still last and personally am not even sure bout the big 4-3.

The media blackout for the members was horrid but to leave them stranded in the United States is unforgivable!!! I believe that this needs to be taken to the authorities. This needs to be all over the news sites. Spire needs taken to the courts. Heaven only knows what kind of hell these members have been forced to endure with this company. The CEO and all involved with mistreatment of OX members need to be terminated immediately and banned from ever working in the entertainment industry again in any capacity!!!!!
As an older American I wish I knew. We have more pull than youngsters do. We will be keeping our eye out for these two horrible people and may they NEVER want to do business in our country because we won't sit quietly. The time for humanity being abused is over and Korea is in enough bullshit these days, they don't need any more disgusting shady characters.

If they were effectively stranded in LA, when does their Visa expire? And what happens when their Visa expires? Their company is supposed to take care of those business / administrative matters but if they "choose" to not manage them [truly, if they stranded them, that's not managing the group], how does the group know how to take care of those kinds of Visa matters? Then, would a human rights group be able to intervene?? I mean, some of us KPOP fans have watched BTS Bon Voyage and have watched RM call the South Korean Consulate, but are these members savvy enough to know things like that? How do OMEGA X fans communicate logistical things to the group, or help them out financially if they're effectively stranded? Were they left with financial support, like a credit card to help pay for their hotel room, pay for meals, simple stuff like that? Do they have access to health care, know how to call for medical assistance should the need arise? I mean, their support staff left them, am I correct in hearing that? They have no managers on the ground with them. This is unbelievable - they are in a foreign country, for work purposes, with no support but themselves. WTH!!!

I am not really a huge fan of OX and can only see myself as a casual listener. I really do give time to support these guys by listening to some of their songs because knowing that majority of them had come from groups that disbanded quickly or didn’t do so well, and being a part of this group seems to be another and a golden chance for them. Seeing this event happening to them is heartbreaking. That woman should be rightfully called out and at this point, should face legal consequence if possible (though sad to say that the OX members might not do so but hopefully, they are going to). I also hope that the OX members could either be taken by another agency or create their own because they deserve so much better. Also, I hope that both the fans of OX and even Kpop stans can help in demanding a statement and action from their companies instead of letting this go under the rug.

I get the idea that K-Pop groups really have to rely on their company and managers etc for everything until they start to earn the company money so seeing they way they're being treated makes me really concerned about a lot of things like their health and are they eating properly or sleeping enough. I don't know if they're in dorms or where they practice or for how long but the fact that this has happened in public makes me think it's an overspill from what happens in private. I really feel bad for them all. Hope they're getting some consolation from all the fandoms showing their support.
It’s not their job to take care of the CEO or any management. It’s their job to practice and perform. It is absolutely HER job to take care of THEM. This sick narcissist needs to be completely out of any business.
I don't stan the group, but I do have them on a list that I want to stan in the future. I LOVE their music. Normally, I'm skeptical about allegations, but this is crystal clear evidence that someone's being hurt. It's not alleged, it just... happened. Is there some concrete thing I could be doing to help these boys? If there's something that might actually help them, can someone let me know? I don't want to sit back and say nothing, if there was some action I could do to make things better. Obviously, they're grown and don't need "saving" as it were. I'm all in with you, I'm a kpop Stan in general and I'm not an actual Stan of this group but my heart breaks for them, this is just so wrong on many levels. They are human beings above all that pay for her way of life, she should be GRATEFUL to them!!!! It's outrageous, truly.
There are far more serious issues at hand, but I'd like to highlight the not-so-minor fact that they've all had previous experiences as idols or were on the verge of doing so. "You should stop being an idol," must have been like putting salt on an open wound. Receiving verbal abuse is enough to cause someone to break down, so the mention of sensitive topics and possibly physical abuse must have pushed them to the edge. Encouragement to stop being an idol is absurd, given that that is why the company makes money in the first place. Really, the audacity. That's not something you do, especially when they're in such a vulnerable state. This requires more attention. Many cases of label abuse have been undermined and forgotten. Don't let that happen to these boys, who, despite being abused, have remained calmer (or, rather, silent due to fear) than anyone else right now. This isn't a "what if" situation because there's actual evidence-from another company. An investigation is required. If you're capable of publicly shaming and abusing someone, what more in private? The fact that the members have stayed silent and their condition is being reported by the company rather than the boys themselves concerns me. I'm a fan, so this news reached me first (though it was still a little late because I don't use Twitter much), but non-fans might not have even heard of the issue yet. True justice and assurance that the boys or anyone who may be mistreated by the big people in Spire is protected must be spread. Gosh, that was a long ride of just me writing to my heart's content-
The abuse idols go through is heartbreaking. If this was in another country she would have been arrested but this is Korea, most of the time they pay their way out. This kind of abuse is nothing new but I am glad they got it on camera. All of their fans need to do something to protect them, use all social media.

Imagine knowing your career you worked so hard for is controlled by this person. The fact that she behaved this way in public shows she isn’t concerned with any consequences. I m concerned about what will happen to them now. This is abuse and Korea should have some laws or regulations for how companies treat their members. I have seen before where they work these guys as much as they can to make as much money as they can while they are popular. Hopefully now that K Pop is so popular worldwide these groups will get better treatment because now everyone is watching.

the worst part is that smaller groups that go through this sort of scandal rarely recover. i've been in kpop for 10 years now and tbh the only group i can remember that the careers didn't end after a mistreatment scandal was B.A.P, and they were literally the most famous boygroup at the time (yes, more than BTS, more than EXO). a key difference is that their company was not outed by rumors, they filed a lawsuit themselves - and still their careers were greatly affected (it's partially bc they went through this scandal that EXO and BTS managed to get as famous as they became later). they might get free from the abuse, but their chances of continuing to work as idols is very slim

Apparently this isn't the first time it happened. A kpop fan had posted before this incident that their mother saw someone did this to a kpop group and she intervened, knowing her own child is also a kpop fan the mother asked for their help to share and the kpop group the mother defended is apparently OmegaX.
I worried for the future of these boys, if what you told by chairman and CEO allegedly married is true, i doubt the boys will be treated any better in future following these circumstances. Hope they can find peace and strength to fight the situation at hand and the future consequences too.

I also read on Twitter that the company were holding out on sending the members home back to South Korea on a pretense, something about their not "mingling" or being seated amongst fans(???). I don't know their present whereabouts, if OMEGA X are currently back home in South Korea, if they are together and housed in their dorm, or with their individual families [if they can be] or with friends, for their health and safety. I'm sure their contract binds them to the company and they have obligations, but if I were any kind of person close to any member of this group, I would advise them to seek legal representation. Of course I do not know the actual terms and conditions of their contract, but these working conditions in this modern age IS UNACCEPTABLE! A good attorney can put a temporary restraining order, or some sort of legal mechanism to protect the members in the interim before proceeding with something more substantial. The point is to protect their health and safety FIRST and then see what to do for the long-term. OMG, this is really upsetting.

I’m also not a fan of Omega X but as a K-pop fan in general I would honestly not take what is happening here I would personally ask paparazzi’s (no joke) to get videos of them (mainly with the Ceo) just so we can get more evidently proven videos to protect them. @@PatricrussI don't think she was entitled though she was toxic/abusive. she's facing culture shock bc asian countries run differently. for example it wasn't long ago teachers were still physically disciplining students (idk if that stopped). perhaps physical discipline is more common than we think. at the very least many ceos even those working for some office corporate job might yell at their employees idk. so for her this is what she's used to. you also have to keep in mind that these agencies are working with very young kids sometimes so they have to raise them/parent them too bc parents are not present at the dorms in a trainee life. some teenagers will mess around and do teenage stuff - they need to be told off and told to take their jobs more seriously. i'm speculating that maybe this is the reason kpop agencies use physical and verbal "discipline". ofc eventually it gets out of hand and might turn into a habit.
from her perspective she's dealing with what I assume is a nugu group and small, unknown agency. to book them gigs so that they can actually earn money is very difficult and stressful. she's probably irritated that a member is getting sick and is making hard to fufill schedule - cancelling venues would be a pain in the -- and very expensive. both the members and stuff were exhausted and overwork and pulling all nighters. women tend to be more easily cranky sometimes so maybe this is what it was and what she meant by being "taken care of the members" (i.e. I managed to book you the venues you have to fufill your obligations of finishing all performances successfully). not to mention that she was dealing with a loss so emotions were high.
anyways while I can see her perspective I'm not defending her behaviour of using violence.

they're a bunch of fit 20 something men and this little woman is holding so much power over them and scaring them to such an extent - shows you anybody can be a victim of abuse. along with the elder respect that the other comment mentioned, they're also at risk of their whole career ending if they disobey or upset the CEO. idols do not have many rights or agency unless they're super popular (and even then who knows what goes on behind the scenes! even some of the most successful groups are overworked etc.) so they're very vulnerable to this sort of treatment. it's really disturbing and upsetting.

I am not surprised about that whole statement that they released. It sounds like someone who is trying to protect their spouse/partner. So if those two are indeed married. I can see the husband using his power to have the company release a statement about this issue. Also abusing his power towards the boys as well. That woman is not going away at all. This was outright cruel. Somebody who is sick, just needs to go to hospital. Imagine she was following Jeahan to the elevator to continue her abuse, when another member who looks like Hangyeom stopped her in addition to the another staffer that pulled her back. There is another video of her at the NY concert where she caught screaming at the other staff. The lady is just wild. By keeping them in the US they are avoiding them speaking to reporters. This is why I can't be a Kpop idol, I personally wouldn't let that slide. I'm so sorry for Omega X I hope they get the justice they deserve, they need a restraining order or something against her cause she needs to stay away from them at all costs.
The thing is, once you sign their contracts, you become their property, which include NDA's in which you are prohibited from speaking out. They own rights to everything you have and create for *years* . You're legally obligated to do what they say unless you pay a hefty fine to get out of the contract (that's why I find really young minors in kpop as such a sad risk).
They should make a police report in LA since the ab*se happened here. I hope that they get help, and they can get away from this situation. No one deserves to be treated like that at their job (or anywhere else), even if that job makes you famous. She needs to be held accountable for her actions.

The media blackout for the members was horrid but to leave them stranded in the United States is unforgivable!!! I believe that this needs to be taken to the authorities. This needs to be all over the news sites. Spire needs taken to the courts. Heaven only knows what kind of hell these members have been forced to endure with this company. If they were effectively stranded in LA, when does their Visa expire? And what happens when their Visa expires? Their company is supposed to take care of those business / administrative matters but if they "choose" to not manage them [truly, if they stranded them, that's not managing the group], how does the group know how to take care of those kinds of Visa matters? Then, would a human rights group be able to intervene?? I mean, some of us KPOP fans have watched BTS Bon Voyage and have watched RM call the South Korean Consulate, but are these members savvy enough to know things like that? How do OMEGA X fans communicate logistical things to the group, or help them out financially if they're effectively stranded? Were they left with financial support, like a credit card to help pay for their hotel room, pay for meals, simple stuff like that? Do they have access to health care, know how to call for medical assistance should the need arise? I mean, their support staff left them, am I correct in hearing that? They have no managers on the ground with them. This is unbelievable - they are in a foreign country, for work purposes, with no support but themselves. WTH!!!

I am not really a huge fan of OX and can only see myself as a casual listener. I really do give time to support these guys by listening to some of their songs because knowing that majority of them had come from groups that disbanded quickly or didn’t do so well, and being a part of this group seems to be another and a golden chance for them.
Seeing this event happening to them is heartbreaking. That woman should be rightfully called out and at this point, should face legal consequence if possible (though sad to say that the OX members might not do so but hopefully, they are going to). I also hope that the OX members could either be taken by another agency or create their own because they deserve so much better.
Also, I hope that both the fans of OX and even Kpop stans can help in demanding a statement and action from their companies instead of letting this go under the rug.

I get the idea that K-Pop groups really have to rely on their company and managers etc for everything until they start to earn the company money so seeing they way they're being treated makes me really concerned about a lot of things like their health and are they eating properly or sleeping enough. I don't know if they're in dorms or where they practice or for how long but the fact that this has happened in public makes me think it's an overspill from what happens in private. I really feel bad for them all. Hope they're getting some consolation from all the fandoms showing their support.

I'm all in with you, I'm a kpop Stan in general and I'm not an actual Stan of this group but my heart breaks for them, this is just so wrong on many levels. They are human beings above all that pay for her way of life, she should be GRATEFUL to them!!!! It's outrageous, truly.
There are far more serious issues at hand, but I'd like to highlight the not-so-minor fact that they've all had previous experiences as idols or were on the verge of doing so. "You should stop being an idol," must have been like putting salt on an open wound.
Receiving verbal abuse is enough to cause someone to break down, so the mention of sensitive topics and possibly physical abuse must have pushed them to the edge. Encouragement to stop being an idol is absurd, given that that is why the company makes money in the first place. Really, the audacity. That's not something you do, especially when they're in such a vulnerable state. This requires more attention.
Many cases of label abuse have been undermined and forgotten. Don't let that happen to these boys, who, despite being abused, have remained calmer (or, rather, silent due to fear) than anyone else right now. This isn't a "what if" situation because there's actual evidence-from another company. An investigation is required. If you're capable of publicly shaming and abusing someone, what more in private? The fact that the members have stayed silent and their condition is being reported by the company rather than the boys themselves concerns me.
I'm a fan, so this news reached me first (though it was still a little late because I don't use Twitter much), but non-fans might not have even heard of the issue yet. True justice and assurance that the boys or anyone who may be mistreated by the big people in Spire is protected must be spread.

The abuse idols go through is heartbreaking. If this was in another country she would have been arrested but this is Korea, most of the time they pay their way out. This kind of abuse is nothing new but I am glad they got it on camera. All of their fans need to do something to protect them, use all social media.

Imagine knowing your career you worked so hard for is controlled by this person. The fact that she behaved this way in public shows she isn’t concerned with any consequences. I m concerned about what will happen to them now. This is abuse and Korea should have some laws or regulations for how companies treat their members. I have seen before where they work these guys as much as they can to make as much money as they can while they are popular. Hopefully now that K Pop is so popular worldwide these groups will get better treatment because now everyone is watching.

the worst part is that smaller groups that go through this sort of scandal rarely recover. i've been in kpop for 10 years now and tbh the only group i can remember that the careers didn't end after a mistreatment scandal was B.A.P, and they were literally the most famous boygroup at the time (yes, more than BTS, more than EXO). a key difference is that their company was not outed by rumors, they filed a lawsuit themselves - and still their careers were greatly affected (it's partially bc they went through this scandal that EXO and BTS managed to get as famous as they became later). they might get free from the abuse, but their chances of continuing to work as idols is very slim

Apparently this isn't the first time it happened. A kpop fan had posted before this incident that their mother saw someone did this to a kpop group and she intervened, knowing her own child is also a kpop fan the mother asked for their help to share and the kpop group the mother defended is apparently OmegaX.

I also read on Twitter that the company were holding out on sending the members home back to South Korea on a pretense, something about their not "mingling" or being seated amongst fans(???). I don't know their present whereabouts, if OMEGA X are currently back home in South Korea, if they are together and housed in their dorm, or with their individual families [if they can be] or with friends, for their health and safety. I'm sure their contract binds them to the company and they have obligations, but if I were any kind of person close to any member of this group, I would advise them to seek legal representation. Of course I do not know the actual terms and conditions of their contract, but these working conditions in this modern age IS UNACCEPTABLE! A good attorney can put a temporary restraining order, or some sort of legal mechanism to protect the members in the interim before proceeding with something more substantial. The point is to protect their health and safety FIRST and then see what to do for the long-term. OMG, this is really upsetting.
This company sees their idols as assets that they can use however they want regardless of their mental or physical health... The idols are treated like robots only seen as moneymaker...they are squeezed dry mentally and physically..i pity all the idols...

I’m also not a fan of Omega X but as a K-pop fan in general I would honestly not take what is happening here I would personally ask paparazzi’s (no joke) to get videos of them (mainly with the Ceo) just so we can get more evidently proven videos to protect them.
