Elite: Dangerous - Thargoid Titan Rescue Guide + Advanced Tips and Tricks

This is a detailed guide on optimizing rescue efforts in Thargoid Titans. With the release of Subsurface Extraction Missiles on October 5, 2023 as a method of rescuing humans from the Titans, pilots get a chance to bring people home while also contributing quite significantly to the war effort.
The tricks and math data used in this run are valid as of E:D Odyssey Update 16.01 and are subject to change in future updates.

Ship Builds:
Please note I use EDSY for my ship builds, which do not have the Extraction Missiles available for display, so the gap you see in the hardpoints is the Extraction missile and should be compensated for accordingly with 1 MW of extra Power (Also the shortlink function doesn't appear to be working on EDSY right now so prepare for long links until that's fixed)

2ND UPDATE: After further testing by other AX defense forces, it now appears that Titan rescues, combined with battles at the new spires progress the 10 furthest systems from the Titan regardless of state. Some Spire sites have been retaken a second time as a result. Rescues are still effective but not to the extent of the math that was presented in the video from before Update 17. For that reason, the info about Barnacle Matrix and Titan Rescue Progression math is now outdated.

Awesome video - this activity is very much for solo players like me and pretty complicated to do. Especially appreciated how you showed where to hide as I did not notice myself initially that there are "tunnels" in between maw "ridges". Without a place to hide I never managed to do anything in there. So, I finally built a Vette and on 2nd try managed to bring back 320 capsules to rescue megaship. I found out that firing thermal vent beams on titan (anywhere really) gets your heat down which is useful while hiding and waiting for shields to heal and patrols to stop looking at you. But I am not so sure if there is any progress in 10 furthest systems anymore. Money is meh as well, so this sort of just for fun I guess.

Regrettably, the math on the Titan Rescues has been constantly changing since especially late November/December to the point where its effect on the war is mostly negligible (Presumably to stall until Update 18). The tactics still hold, but it’s mostly for money now since we can’t win the war until such time as the new Anti-Titan gear is released.

Sorry if I missed this in the video, but are guardian hull and module reinforcement packages usable for this, or do they get melted by the anti-guardian field?

Guardian Hull Reinforcements are fine since they have no integrity. Guardian Module Reinforcements will melt since they do.
