Where was the Mingus tag? I don't have enough jazz knowledge to have recognized it but I'm curious where it was!!
It’s kind of a stretch, but if you listen closely to some Mingus tunes you’d hear him say “yeah Eric”(Dolphy), or “yeah Jaki”(Byard), or “yeah Dannie”(Richmond) when they were soloing spectacularly… just as she said when Simon was.

Have been hiding from the -20C blizzard all week, had to go out to clear snow for the garbage truck tomorrow morning. On my way out I stumbled in my hdmi cable, so now there are flickering green lights on my only screen. For every shovel of snow I pushed, three shovels worth blew back in my face. My sweat started freezing solid so I gave up, but I had at least shoveled my way up to my mailbox, so I grabbed my mail and and a catch of firewood and headed back inside.
Thanks Hiatus Kaiyote! Got a nice letter telling me there's a new single out; this isn't a shit day anymore! Old school is best school! Sending out letters is massively underrated EDIT: and now that I've heard the song, everything IS beautiful!
