10 Things I've Learned From 10 Years of Blogging

xHey guys, welcome back to another video by Goats On The Road.
My name’s Nick and I’ve been blogging for over a decade now. Actually, because we started our first blog, Goats on The Road in 2012, it’s technically been 11 years at the time of recording this, but the the title of the video sounds better if I call it 10 things I’ve learned in 10 years… so that’s what this video is. 10 Things I’ve learned from 10 years of blogging.
Since 2012 I’ve started nearly a dozen blogs and the ones I’ve started in the past few years I’ve turned into full-time income generating businesses.
The cool thing is that we’ve built our blogs out at scale, so they earn money even when we travel for months on end without opening our laptops (which happens quite often actually).
We’ve also helped over a thousand people start their own blogs, and in some cases, we’ve helped them grow their online businesses to the point that they quit their regular jobs and blog full-time and enjoy the same freedom of choosing their own hours and working from anywhere that Dariece and I have come to love about this job.
Anyway, over the years I’ve learned a lot about blogging. Some good, and some not so good.
Some people will sugarcoat the idea of being a travel blogger or a travel influencer online. We’ve all seen the hilarious Instagram vs reality memes:
So in this video, I’m going to share the good, the bad, and the ugly truths about blogging.
