Ackeem Blake is one of my favorite sprinters to watch. It's my opinion that Blake has some of the best running form and technique of almost all the top sprinters in the world. He's so smooth in his technique and his transitions through the various phases that he makes it look effortless. I just love to watch him and Tebogo run. I think if he improves on his start and builds a little more power, he will definitely contend for the medals in Paris.
Did you say improved on his start? He had the lead up to 60m in the finals of the 100m at Trials. He was away faster than anyone else. I think his start is very good, with the exception that he tends to false start, jumping the gun.

@@noeljames1254 I agree he had a very good start in the trials but we're not just talking about one race and I'm not saying his start is bad I think his start is decent but overall there is room for improvement
@@crismaracana2824while I cannot agree with you about his start, which is one of the absolute best in history, I totally agree with you I love to watch his mechanics in motion. I’m american and always root for my American guys, but every time I watch a race where an american beats him, I keep rewinding the video to watch his form. I’ve even made a comment month ago saying his mechanics remind me tons of Elaine’s…not that he runs like a woman, but that he has extremely efficient mechanics and a beautiful plantarflex action. I think he will be amazing with more strength.
@CAROLYNCHANG-k3s you are right. That is only a personality trait. You have to understand that the idea of noble virtues is so entrenched in how we have been influenced and cultured, so much so that you have to be careful not to exude confidence or a sparkling personality. Most Jamaicans see that as a negative. You are seen more favorable if you are calm and collective. We don't have much room for exhibiting personality. I used to hear people saying that Bolt was a showoff. How can you be the fastest man in the world and just blah/flat/void of exhibiting some sort of emotion??

He’s running pressure free this year
I'm not seeing any marked improvement in his 100m. The 60m time looked promising however I think it has been proven many times over that 60s don't often translate into the 100m. Akeem is probably just who he's shown himself to be to date and that is.....a 9.9+ athlete. Hope he proves me wrong but that's what I'm seeing.
He ran 9.8 before. He can go much faster but needs more bulk
@@divinee.155 He ran 9.89 once and that is basically 9.90 (+1.0 mps). My point still stands. He's basically a 9.9+ athlete that might be able to dip occasionally into the high 9.8s. Nothing wrong with that but....we shouldn't be expecting much more than what we're seeing.

=yea, PLW. However, Ackeem, Oblique are undersized, compared to the current crop of top sprinters.. i don't see them being effective going 4 rounds.
