@@skip031890 she really doesnt though people do not bring up dionne the way they might say aretha, patti, tina etc And she's had nowhere near as many tributes as them
I was born in 1955 and I grew up as a boy in the 60's listening to Dionne Warwick. As a Black man, I have always loved and enjoyed her music while some Black radio stations wouldn't play her music saying it was too white. I thought this was ridiculous because Dionne's music touch many people around the world regardless of race or skin color. I found a Christmas C.D. by Dionne Warwick years ago at Circuit City long before they went out of business. As we approach Christmas 2023, I am playing and listening to Dionne's Christmas C.D. on December 19, 2023. I am so glad Ms. Warwick is still in the land of the living and getting the well deserve recognition she deserves. God bless you, Dionne Warwick.🙏🙏
My late husband was diagnosed HIV positive in 1987, two years after That's What Friends Are For was released and I'm very thankful for the money it raised for AIDS research as well as creating greater awareness of the disease. Because of that awareness, Tim and I were able to have a loving relationship without fear, knowing how to keep me HIV negative. So thank you and congratulations, Ms. Warwick!
Thank you so much for the interview with the legendary MS. DIONNE WARWICK! I've prayed that she would receive the Kennedy Center Honor in her lifetime. MS. WARWICK has been my role model since she made Walk On By and now I am a retired senior citizen. God Bless and long live MS. DIONNE WARWICK! ❤🙏
"Heartbreaker" is a song performed by American singer Dionne Warwick. It was written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees for her 1982 studio ... what an era, priceless...
Finally this LEGEND is receiving her flowers for ALLL her work and contributions as the “1st CROSSOVER ARTIST “ and being such a trailblazer and a big part of music and artistry today ! - LOVE U Miss DIONNE 🖤
I grew up in the 1960's and was raised on British Invasion rock 'n roll. Beatles, Rolling Stones, etc. But Dionne had a string of hits during this time that were just so great it was amazing. Just one after another. I always anticipated her next record and still listen to her.
Auntie Dionne will show you that Jersey Girl charm quick, fast and in a hurry. Love my fellow Jersey Girl. Dionne Warwick will always be one of a kind. Often imitated, never duplicated.
One of the greatest singers of all time. Silky, velvet voice. Blessed and honest. Her voice in concert is even more amazing. An American treasure. She deserves this award and all the accolades for her contribution to the soundtrack of our lives. How lucky we are to live in a lifetime where we could enjoy her gift. Godspeed Dionne.
People underestimate how good a musician Dionne is. The reason she could sing Burt’s compositions is because she understands music, and had the voice to back it up. Her musical phrasing is impeccable
Just thinking🤔 how Ms. Dionne Warwick and Barry Gibb are being honored at the same time and he sang Heartbreaker with her. I grew up listening to her beautiful voice being played on my parents record player or radio. She was a favorite singer of my fathers. I am happy that this living legend is being honored by TKCH. Thanks CBS Mornings for this story.
Have always wondered why it takes so long to honor the recipients? Kennedy Center has only honored two posthumously. It’s like you better live long to get this award. Thank you for all the Great songs I’ve listened to!
Dionne was crossover pop before the word was used to her cover her music. There is the Queen of soul. Then there's Dionne Warwick . Beautiful to see her being honored at the Kennedy Center.
I love the Queen so much. Just an absolute blessing to all of us. She will live forever and inspire so many! She has changed many lives through her voice and song. It is beyond music and goes into the ethereal.

Dionne is truly great and ALWAYS knew how to build a song. She truly deserved even more Grammys and more RECOGNITON...but am glad she received the Kennedy Center Honor. Long overdue.
She is legendary,I grow up listening to Dionne Warwick. I love everything she sung her and the real Queen of soul Aretha Franklin. There have never others to compare them too.
