one thing to add is a settle. The arm wouldn't just stop moving after it goes back down, it would swing back in the opposite direction a tiny bit and then settle to its final position. or is that covered in another section?
Sammy Haralambous Hey Sammy, I call this "overshoot" in the video, but you are right the arm example doesn't mention it and I probably should have. Oh well, yet another thing to cover in a future video! Thanks for your feedback :)
thank u for the tutorial it was very informative I had a question about lead and follow it is that while animating how do we decide that what is leading and what is following and how this principle is aplicable in spine I am a 3d animator and in spine we only get 3 controllers how could we create that flow in 3d please tell it would be my honor ..!!
Really informative, and really nicely done! My only issue is that the hiss (or background noise) in the audio is distracting. Maybe it's just because I'm listening with headphones...
In 21 foundations of animation, the definition of secondary action and follow thru are a little bit different. I prefer 21 foundations cuz it is more detailed than 12 principles.
What do you mean? The last sentence? x) Well, it exists in our heads - in the head of the maker and in the head of the audience, which is very fascinating :D
Very well explained. Simple drawings can be made to animate so much better if they overlap.
+Micah Buzan It makes all the difference! Even on budget constraints I try to have at least one or two elements to follow-through and overlap.
Very clear examples and really helpful for self-taught animator like me.
keep it up guys, your videos are excellent!
Very nice presentation!
