- Welcome to my 5 round pub quiz. No.30
Very easy to play and family friendly Virtual Pub Quiz all in under 30 minutes.
The 5 rounds this week are:
1. Picture Round
2. Entertainment Round
3. 1980s Round
4. Science Round
5. General Knowledge Round
There are 50 questions with 60 points available (round 3 is two points per question) answers will be given after rounds 2, 4 and 5.
I will be releasing a new Pub Quiz every Friday or Saturday as well as my usual general knowledge quizzes
There will be a Picture, Entertainment and General Knowledge round every week, rounds 3 and 4 will change every quiz, so if you have any suggestions for rounds let me know in the comments and I will definitely have a look and if I think it will work I will put it into a future quiz.
If you would like to comment your scores I will give a shout out to the top 3 scores in the following weeks quiz.

Got 56/60 this week I put ghostbusters and top gun instead of Batman and e.t. Had no idea who tom hanks married and said uk instead of Japan for the richest countries.
Think the film is 87 hours….. came up in another quiz I’ve done in the last year or so…

51/60 for Markie & Suzette this week, so one better than normal. Could have been better, but apparently we know a lot less about the 1980s than we thought!

Tricky questions in the eighties round! I cant´t believe Top Gun didn´t made the cut. And I can´t believe I missed ET..that was obvious...

I was shocked that Batman was in top five, I was thinking Ghostbusters.
Usual 39 for me this time, enjoyed the 80's and was lucky in the science round otherwise would have been much worse. My guess is 13 hours for the film but I am prepared to be shocked like the amount of Japanese islands. Thanks Dale you are doing a cracking job, cheers

48/60 - pretty rough one for me, this! Kissed goodbye to the leaderboard already I think. I always go into 80s rounds hopeful but swiftly realise that not having been alive actually does count against me most of the time. 9/10 on pictures, 6/10 on entertainment, 8/10 on 80s GK, 5/10 on 80s Top 5s (ranking-based questions just don't suit me), 10/10 on science, 10/10 on GK.

agree about the top 5 thing and films are terrible for me anyway I just left school in 1981 and had more interesting things to do than watch films -51/60 this week, struggling in the same areas as you
I remember you told me you were born in the 90s in one of your early comments, which makes your overall knowledge even more impressive! and I promise there will only be one 1980s round per year 🙂.

Hi Dale thanks for the shoutout, I got 58 as I guessed mash potatoes on the ice cream question and Fools and Horses question as it was a 50/50 question I totally guessed, also Batman got me I thought it would have been The Terminator also I voted for Hawke and the 80's are straight up my alley

My husband and I (Graeme) were born in the 80s and 90s and that first part of the 80s quiz tripped us up quite bad!
Elements was difficult!

😂😂😂 Totally with you there. We broke our cycle. 47/60 for Kieran, Claire and Cara this week. Claire smashed the entertainment round and we got 10/10 for the science round. Loved the 80s round. We will guess 24 hours for the tiebreaker. Thanks so much for all your hard work as usual. We have so much fun doing the quiz each week.

Great quiz just found you, I would slightly challenge one answer though. GERMANY did not exist in 1980, I assume it is west Germany bar that 54/60 keep up the great work

I’m not competing… just played for fun since this is the first time I’ve seen your quiz channel… but, I actually did better than I expected. First round: missed three; second round: missed one; third round: bust. After that… hmmmm, let’s see… I got all the elements right except for swapping lead and antimony (Pb vs. Sb). Last round… almost aced it. I missed South Africa being known as the Rainbow Nation. Not bad for an old fart like me!

I would love to do a football round, I am creating an additional Pub Quiz with more UK based on questions, so I will put one in there at some point in the future.
I don’t really think a wrestling round would work, though I will pop a wrestling question in the entertainment round this week for you👍🏻

Hi Dale, great quiz as always and a happy belated birthday. Unfortunately having the 20 point round on a decade that ended 16 years before I was born doesn't make for a great score, this was my worst performance since my first time playing, scoring only 39 (maybe playing drunk at 3am doesn't help either and I dropped a few clangers but still). Started reasonably well with 7/10 in round 1 though was kicking myself for not getting Gene Wilder as I knew I recognised the face and I nearly didn't get the last one of that round, initially saying waffle before looking closer and seeing the ice cream at which point I promptly decided it was a waffle that for some reason had ice cream on before eventually realising it was just an ice cream🤣. A poor entertainment round as usual, scoring 4/10, followed by my worst ever round 3 performance with only 8/20 (and most of those were lucky guesses). Ended perfectly though with 10/10 on round 4 cos I'm good with elements and my first ever perfect round 5!!! (just a shame some of the other rounds were so poor). Hoping to start next week as I finished this one and it won't matter but I'll chuck a guess at the tiebreaker anyway and say 96 hours.
I knew this would be a tough one for you but I promise there will only be one 1980s per year 😀. Great job with round 4 and 5 though especially playing at 3:00am 👏👏.
