Love all your videos. Truly great. Would love to see you critique a few UA-cam street fights. What was done well. What mistakes were made etc. something to consider maybe? Thx again for all the effort in making these great videos. I hope people who live close and have a desire to protect themselves and/or fight take advantage of your vast knowledge and train at your facility.
A good mma fight to watch is Lenard Garcia vs Nam Phan II. Garcia tried to power punch but used wild, wide, lunging steps to setup his punches. Leaving him off balanced and easy to counter. On top of that he used bouncy on the ball footwork to retreat or balance himself after missing a punch. Nam Phan while not a power fighter or aware of bare knuckle strategies was able to pick Garcia because he used controlled balanced footwork.
Just watched the fight, if Garcia had learned to shift, drop step, and control his aggression, he would have knocked out Nam very quickly. But he used up his energy falling all over himself. This is what happens to those who only half-punch as Jack Dempsey called it, in other words not stepping with his punches!
These videos are really helpful thank you! And if you may can you please make a video on how to get in within somebody if they have allot of length on you with their arms because I have a problem with getting in on people with longer arms than me. Very much appreciated if this can be made and maybe give me an email when you post it. Thank you
Daniel, great video! Helps put together a lot of questions I've had over the last few years watching you, Rich, and N. Question for you - if you're throwing a right elbow (so your head needs to finish over your left foot)- if you're going to throw another right elbow next, how are you getting your hips to circle back to your base stance? are you shifting your weight from your left foot back to right while simultaneously repivoting? Thanks!

I'll have to watch that fight, thanks Natum990.

You would take another short step with the lead foot and drive with the rear foot as you would reload and throw the right elbow again.
