I think you also showed us where we can rent bicycles, and now I know that bicycles are okay on sidewalks (on the left!). Golden Week might make it a little unsafe on sidewalks; roads might be better. Anyway; want to get off to a good start and I think this improves our odds.
I arrived in Matsuyama just over a week after this was filmed, luckily I got the tram from the JR station to the city station and walked about 5-10 minutes to the school I went to for my exchange. Wish I stayed longer than 6 weeks, it was great living there
