I have a 2 channel mixer connected to two turn tables. Do you think I could connect this to my mixer and get some echo on the records - old school style? Even if it's out of one channel - I'd be cool with that. All good if you don't know. Great page, brother.

hi , the best solution is to have a " aux send line " on your mixer , if you dont have that you can put it in serie with one of your player or smt like a siren

Great video! One thing is missing though. How does this thing sound when you feed it back into itself on the desk whilst you have the feedback on the unit open and it's set to 100% wet?

thx, this is not missing , check the timestamps in the video description : Technic 4 - Tape echo style & Feedbacking thru the mixer
I never leave even a bit of feedback on the delay unit , if I want a delay tail also at low volume I lower down the dly return fader and crank the aux of this same delay a bit more ... the reason why i set no feedback while going thru the desk is :
Lets say a signal @ input of the delay is @ 0ms , the DELAY Unit set @ 200 ms , This same DELAY Unit Processing time latency is 1ms more or less,
If We use the Feedback of the unit the delay tap will be every 200ms , If we go thru the desk each delay tap will be every 201 ms ( the 200 ms set on the unit + the travel from Out of the delay unit thru desk then back in the unit Adding this 1 ms time processing) ... That's the reason why most Delays will have this "phasy/flangy digital sound" because letting the feedback + reinjection thru desk superimpose 2 Timeline ( 0 + 200) and (0+201) ... at some tempo this can even cancel the phase of the delay output ... A solution would be to filter the output of the delay ( filter high frequencies ) ... but under this filtering th 2 timeline delay @ 1 ms time diff makes the phase chaotic.
this Benidub Delay is one of the more stable in reinjection thru desk aux , filter full open, the sweet spot is easy to find , and if you play with the filter it need just a tiny less Aux reinjection to keep it under control .

@@shieldrumrecords1228 I don't think I fully understand what you're saying, but I bought this unit and I can report that you can mix internal feedback and feedback on the desk. I still do not understand why some digital units can do this and others can't.

@@slacknote because they filter high freq on the output stage , the 2 timeline still superimpose oneach other , but as it's low passed we ear less artefact but they are still here, just because there's less high freq it appears to be okay ..

I need help! Does this need 12 Volt and 500 mA or 12 Volt and 1000 mA? Because in the manual on one place ot says 500 mA and on another place it says 1000 mA. When i switch it in the lights on my unit are not even on but it makes a weird noise the whole time no matter how i change the settings.

hi , 12V DC 1000 mA this are the specs on the power block delivered with it
Led dim , on "loop and "multiply" yes same here , "mute/on off" led green and red not dim.
For the weird noise i cant tell from here , ?? cables , bad gain stage many reason can make this occures . The best test is to plug a clean mono source directly in the echo , output at the "dry/wet signal to a single channel of your desk , mute everything but this track , play the music ( the clip led indicates you are close to clipping , gain your source till it start lit and go back a bit to be sure to be close to the optimum signal feeding ....

@@shieldrumrecords1228 Thanks for the reply. It works again! I ordered a new 12V DC 1000 mA supply and now it works just fine. I am so happy now. Turned out a 500 mA was needed for the older version of the Benidub. Some units are very picky when it comes to the right power supply. I still don't know if the first power supply was broken or if they have sent me the wrong current or voltage because the writing on it was black on black and so tiny that i would have needed a microscope to read it.
