Very smart Pappy! That’s exactly how you do it when you’re by yourself. I’ve even tied cinderblocks onto the bottom step of the ladder so that the ladder does not move. For massive jobs they have a dolly that is designed to write up the ladder with ease. Have a great evening! Frank
Thanks Frank, had a new roof put on the house last year.. they had one of those ladder elevators, that was pretty slick.. this ladder was rested on my fence so it wouldn't kick, and the ladder I was going up and down on I had tied off to the garage, ive had many kick on me, you learn real fast to try and not have that happen.. 🤣🤣🤣
Pappy I’ll make a suggestion for ya, I’ll take two 36” or so 2x4’s and screw them together, making a “L”, you lay that on top you gutter, one part hits the gutter apron while the other part hangs over the front of your gutter, now set your ladder resting on it. It protects your gutter from being scratched up by the ladder and it stops the weight of you and whatever you’re carrying up the ladder from smashing or bowing in the gutter. I’ll send you a pic of what I mean later to if you can’t visualize what I’m saying. Have a good one Pappy👍🏼😎🇺🇸
@@KerleyExpress this was around April in the spring.. eddy's idea is still needed, I still go up in the roof from time to time, plus I'm still in the middle of painting that monster.. you don't miss a trick. Do ya Dwight 🤣🤣🤣
@@PappysPotluck I'm always giving Eddy a hard time I'm glad he came in our life he is a cool 😎 guy 😄 maybe he needs to make a video on how to do it the right way 😉
@@KerleyExpress yeah Eddie is a good guy, I love the info he gives me on things.. not sure there is a right way, I think it's just what is available to people to get the jobs done. Some big ol fancy equipment woulda been nice.. 🤣
