Oh, Judy, it was delightful to have your company on this cold, blustery, rainy day in Northern California. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching and your sweet self.
I think you just helped me realize why I feel drawn to go to retreats to be with "stitchy people", but always talk myself out of it. My husband & I have been together since 1990 (HS sweethearts) and shortly after we were married he went into the Army. He has traveled all over the world, so we've spent a lot of time apart. You are so right when you say life is short and being together with "my honey" is more of a priority nowadays. He loves my stitching & quilting and never minds when I become obsessed over my projects, so I'll just retreat at home and enjoy the virtual world :).
I always enjoy your videos and your beautiful projects. I love stitching animals, too. A couple of Kathy Barrick’s new releases are seriously tempting me.
You are such a prolific stitcher! Really inspiring. STOP!!!! You are an enabler for sure!!! I hope you start those two...the one with no name and the one you want to do in silk.
So great to see you again! Please don’t let any comments dictate how long or short you make your flosstubes. You are a true delight, a joyful spirit and a very talented stitcher~love it all and thank you for sharing!
You are such good company that long videos by you are a treat, not a drudgery! I am with you about the wool thread, it’s longevity is the least of all historic samplers. Plus my fingers “peel” when I use it!😳. Lastly, I, too purchased the BAP sampler with DMC floss. As soon as she arrived I did exactly as you said that you plan to do by substituting out the cotton floss for silk. Between NPI and other brands I was able to kit it with all silk floss. The only floss I had to order was some of the ones that use multiple skeins of one color. It is so lovely to see you again. Thank you for sharing!😊
For hanging your finishes, as long as your walls are flat, not textured like in CA, you could use Command Hooks that are plastic hooks with a removable stickum band that you can easily remove without putting holes in your walls. They come in various sizes with up to 40 pound weight limits on the largest hooks. Hope this can work for you 😊
What a treat it is to see you today!! I always enjoy seeing what you've been up!! Love,Love,Love seeing all of your Amazing stitches!! If I was closer, much closer, I would have to visit! Not to worry, It's not possible!!! Anyway, I want you to know how very much I enjoy you!! Take care of yourself!!! Happy stitching!!!! See you next time!! Barbara S
Congrats on the Light of Winter finish - it is luminuos and I love it! I also love the birds in your blessings sampler! So many charts I haven't seen before! I must look for that Valentine quaker!
3M bakes Command Strips to hang pictures without holes in the wall. You use their velcro sticky strips, one or two for the wall (depending on the weight of the picture) and the same on the back of your frame. Removing is easy--you pull down on the tab until it just pops off the wall. No paint is hurt in any way. It has been a life saver for us even though we own our own home.
Hi Judy this is my first video of your channel and I enjoyed it very much. I saw no adds in this episode. The camera setup is perfect in my humble opinion. Closeups allowed me to see your beautiful stitching and it is beautiful. You had me at the gorgeous first FO and your lovely personality kept me for the whole of the video. I have subscribed and look forward to bingeing on past episodes today. One last thing the blue that you are seeing is a reflection off the blue hoodie you are wearing.
Hi Judy, jane here. Your bell pull with the sheep is a Fanci That design and not Shepherd’s Bush. It’s so cute Judy - I love it. Thanks so much for your video and sharing so much of yourself and your talent with us!
I love your videos, Judy. You are such a great stitcher and always so happy. I am surprised that you can stitch on 40 count with glaucoma. I have that too, but I never thought I would be able to stitch on 40 count, so I never tried it.
Judy, have you looked at other ways to hang your samplers than nails? I would love to see your beauties on the walls. I’ve used monkey hooks which are used by making a very tiny hole in the drywall and strong enough to hold heavy pieces. I don’t think I would like a landlord who wouldn’t let me hang anything on the walls. It’s a shame that your beautiful work can’t be seen. I so love your videos!❤️
Aww, you’re welcome! I love supporting my co-stitchers by subscribing, and watching their cross stitch project shares! I just let the video run while I stitch on my own projects. It’s like sitting and stitching with a friend in person (well, almost I’m sure you know what I mean) 🙂. Please keep creating. Lots of us appreciate it! 🤗
Yay! You’re back! So happy to have your new video to watch. Your stitching is so pretty. Loved your little Valentine pillows, along with everything else you shared!
I always love watching your videos, Judy! We are headed to WI for a family vacation this summer and I've already manipulated the schedule to visit Country Sampler, while we're there haha!
I love it when I get notified that you put up a new video. I grab a drink and my stitching and settle in to watch you. Your finishes are just gorgeous. The smalls are so sweet, and I remember stitching some of them right after we started to shelter in place with the Covid scare. The newest sampler to pre-order is beautiful, but above my budget. I will enjoy seeing your progress on it. The fabric is beautiful! Take care, enjoy your quilting and stitching. ❤
Hi Judy - you pay your rent, you are there long term, no doubt the landlord will be redecorating when you move out - not much effort to fill holes, sand and re-paint. I'd go ahead and hang your beautiful work. I'm a landlord, I let my tenants put things on the walls. So mean of him.
Hi Judy, I enjoyed your video very much. I don't mind at all the longer videos and enjoy listening to you talk about your stitching and life. So fun to see all your projects and purchases.
Hi, I love your podcast! It seems such a shame to keep your beautiful work put away. Instead of using nails, you could use command hooks to hang your pieces. They are strong but come off clean when you need to take them down. You can show off your beautiful work and still keep your landlord happy 😊
Thanks for the video visit. I love seeing your current and previous projects, as your stitching is lovely. I came back to stitching several years ago after I retired and have really enjoyed stitching and the company of other stitchers, even when we meet digitally. Happy stitching!
Enjoy your flosstubes very much. Don't worry how long in between. I don't know how you stitch on linen, but it's beautiful. I also have glaucoma and I don't feel I see as well as I should, but at least I can stitch and that makes me happy. I stitch on 14 count Aida. Would you share what website you get on to find your great additions to your stash?

Beautiful finishes and wips! Thank you for sharing! Happy Stitching!
Oh, it was so nice to see you again!! Thanks to you I've been stitching on a Christmas piece . Stitching Christmas all year was a great idea.
Such beautiful stitching and good conversation from one of my favorite flosstubers❤.
It’s always such a joy to spend some time with you and your beautiful finishes. You are an inspiration ❤️
Try command hooks. I use them so I can adjust framed work around.
