Hey Mariano, I don't blame you for preferring cash games. I do too. When I started playing semi-good at poker, I discovered at that time that I prefer cash games. Case and point: The first time I ever cashed in a tournament, the buy-in was $175, and I took 3rd place which was $340. $165 profit in 2 hours for an hourly rate of $80+/hr. Then I got into a 2/5 No-Limit cash game, and I left after 20 minutes, winning $372. An effective hourly rate of $1116. Easy to see why I prefer cash games, huh?
Hi Mariano, I’m from Texas, but recently took your advice and made the trip to The Huntington Library. GREAT referral. It was amazing and could not have been better.

Serious question, did you guys pay to book the Viper room? Or do you have to guarantee a certain value of tickets / concessions sold? I've heard that's how it works these days
"Pay to Play" is the format now at the infamous, formerly co-owned by Johnny Depp(started his climb to celebrity in CA with music/liked to promote talent through his club), Viper Room bar/club. It's sad to see how far California has fallen from its former "glory days". Crazy how many celebrities have moved. Wealth tax will do that. Some private conglomerate bought up a cluster of properties (club included) for $80M. They are all about charging bands to play their venue. Typically, you hear how artists/bands are exploited by management, but now that Blackrock, State Street, and Vanguard(all under same umbrella but sorted into 3 to avoid monopoly laws- it's about optics) have bought everything under the sun and folded real estate neatly into wall street portfolios (why is housing so much?☝️🤔🗯commercial real estate was just the start) Really hope Dear Delta has fun playing their show, but I really hope they don't pay too much. Maybe the club is just 'letting' them play for free or they might be getting paid just enough to cover sound engineer working the board? Makes me cringe to think band's have to pay to play. The Viper Roon has officially been turned out. Corperate America has turned her into a cheap(sic) hooker. Welllll, maybe not so cheap. Not sure what she charges. Just not right.

Hi guys, I'm new to poker. I was wondering why in the first hand Mariano wins 2/3s of the money from benji and and the recycler only 1/3s. They both win one of the all ins right? So why is it 50/50 split?
There is a side pot between benji and Mariano consisting of about 8000 dollars. The main pot is 21000. And that pot is split between Mariano and the recycler, so they both profit 3725 from that. When it comes to the side pot only Mariano and Benji is competing about it. And here Mariano has the better hand so he profits 4000 from that side pot. That is why he in total profits 4000+3725. Sorry long but hope it makes sense
You can only win what you put in. *(Always protect your hand and NEVER turn your hole cards over when other players have more chips/action to continue after you have gone all-in. Kinda common/rookie mistake.) Ex: player 1 ($500) player 2 ($1,000) player 3 ($1,000) Player 1 goes all-in pre-flop for $500. The remaining players can just call the $500 and see a flop. With more $ behind, players 2 and 3 can continue to battle each other for their remaining chips. When this happens, it is called a side pot that only those 2 players can win. Showdown: player 1 had best hand = gets main pot of $1,500 ($500 from both players 2 and 3 as well as 1's all-in amount of $500). Player 2's hand improves to beat out 3's. Player 2 will lose $500 that was in main pot, but picks up the side pot that was the remaining $500 in chips from himself and player 3 =$1,000. Player 2 is back to starting stack of $1,000 from side pot win. Player 3 is bust and has to hit the ATM because he is a degenerate who doesn't know about setting limits, bringing a re-buy or 2 on his person, and has never taken the time to read a book/practice starting ranges/is compulsive gambler. Don't ever loan player 3 money, and if deciding to loan someone money, only loan amount you are comfortable not seeing again (I was lucky and learned this lesson early in my poker life for a paltry $500). Good Luck!
Sandor should raise that 54o hand on flop. Too many draws there if he holds middle and bottom pair. But at the end he made very nice call. Nice Channel, Mr. Mariano.
