You know it's funny when I first saw this I had always assumed that gold emblem in the center of the red panels on Kaiser's chest was a decoration of somekind or just part of Kaiser's design but it wasn't until the last episode during Koji's battle against Ashura that it was revealed to be an extremely large sword called the Kaiser Blade and not until I saw this on youtube that it was revealed Kaiser had 2 more extremely large swords stored in his shoulders as well man I can only imagine what it would have been like if the Mazinger Z/Tranzor Z t.v. series was set around this robot instead that would have been insane.

The sword can be made out of solidified Photonic Energy, I'm not a physicists but form what I know Photons are particles so with sufficient density they can create a solid object, also there is one more far fetched theory, that the sword is stored in a pocket dimension
One other thing that made Koji Kabuto a better pilot than the psychos of SKL is he had friends who believed in him and gave him the strength to keep on fighting despite the odds and if it was a living being Mazinkaiser would also fight with that same strength and determination and not on the joy of death and destruction like SKL and the 2 psychos at it's controls who fight and seem to grin like lunatics like Baron Ashura that she/man man/she whatever he is.

Now this was the true Mazinkaiser not that insult SKL it was better it was stronger it was more powerful as it was a true Mazinger series robot that had a real hero pilot that didn't act like a maniac firing his weapons with a freakish grin on his face like those 2 psychos who seemed to get a thrill of death and destruction and were an insult to all Mazinger Series robot pilots like Koji and Tetsuya and the one other thing about the true Mazinkaiser is that he had a much better theme song to boot and a better fighting style.

I actually think the sword is created,not necessarily stored in kaisers chest.
