Shin vs Neo's main fault is it's short length. At all of four episodes long it leaves no time for any real character development to happen in between almost *non stop* action. Still was a fun show to watch mind, even with that fault.
I think it's the best Getter anime adaptation (haven't watched Arc yet). Characters are close to their manga counterparts and it remembers to be funny.

I'm slightly disappointed with this series. The beginning is literally one of the coolest and most beautiful things I've ever seen in my life, I don't know I'll see something of that caliber again. After the first episode it starts to drop a lot, also for the quality of the drawings, they seem more disengaged and it almost seems that they were bored. Too bad.Unfortunately the beginning is so divine that it eclipses the rest of the series, they have not maintained that quality
They went all out in the beginning because they didn't have a lot of budget, Getter is a niche series. Also due to copyright issues concerning the shitty Getter Robo Go anime they couldn't use Getter Robo Go and had to design Neo Getter as its stand in and they went all out on the design making it look like an actual Getter instead of piece of military hardware.
@@filipporincasatoGetter fans only get what they can. It's a shame really, for one of the classic series to not even have a definitive anime adaptation. Even if we got a faithful modern adaptation, it's in the form of a game. I'm still glad for what we got though, even the newest Getter Arc adaptation was a miracle to happen at all and I love it despite its shortcomings.

あらすじ
5年前の恐竜帝国の侵攻は、ゲッターロボの活躍、そして巴武蔵の犠牲によって終結。大打撃を受けた恐竜帝国はマグマ層へと追いやられた。しかし、ゲッターロボの自爆でニューヨークの街を消滅させる程の破壊力に恐れをなした国際社会からの圧力により、早乙女研究所のゲッター線関連の研究、ひいては早乙女研究所自体が活動凍結を余儀なくされる。
だが、その一方でゲッターロボのパイロットであった神隼人らは恐竜帝国の復活を予見し、防衛組織「ネーサー」に参加、ゲッター線を使わない新たなゲッターロボ「ネオゲッターロボ」を開発。恐竜帝国の再度の来襲に備えたものの、テスト機でさえパイロットに掛かる負荷が凄まじく乗せたテストパイロットが耐えられないという欠点を抱えており、3人目・ネオゲッター1のパイロットが決まらない。
果たして再び姿を現した恐竜帝国。そのメカザウルスが暴れる中、新たなネオゲッター1のパイロット候補として隼人が見出したのが、闇プロレスの覇者・一文字號であった。
