I damaged my shoulder and broke two ribs at the back after a sledging accident and wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone! Glad you’re on the mend

I feel your pain Karl. I broke 2 ribs & dislocated the cartilage, 7 years later & it still causes me pain. Glad you're on the mend & when you vlog it's great to show the reality of everything. Sending well wishes & looking forward to seeing you again at the show ✌🙏💙

These things can happen to the best of us. We have all had a wobble on a ladder at some time. I went up the step ladder that was far to close to the end of the van roof. Went up the ladder and it moved over. Brown trousers job. Its a H3 Boxer which is high enough but that the rear wheels are up on ramps as well. I managed to jump the ladder back onto the edge of the van roof but it was a close thing.

You were very lucky by the sounds of it. Definitely taught Mr a big lesson.

@@BuiltnotBoughtCampers I made me think twice about doing it again, that's for sure. I'm converting an 2012 Boxer Ambulance and I've removed the large fibreglass and aluminium lump from above the rear doors that used to hold the blue emergency lights. That massive lump of fibreglass and aluminium & 6mm thick steel brackets weighs a lot more than you imagine. It's been sitting up there for a month with all the cables attached. After that wobble on the ladder I left it up there. LOL Wait for a mate to come and hold the ladder. P.s I'm putting two bed lifts in my camper. One in the rear and one that drops down from above the bench seat (behind the driver and passenger seats. I've just stripping all the original cupboards and cladding out and I'm in the process of cutting out all the welded steel frames out of the back, that the cupboards were bolted to. By the time I'm finished removing everything ambulance related out of this van it will be about 1000kgs lighter. When you add up 3 rear seats weighing 50kgs each. All the cupboards weight at least 250kgs. The steel oxygen brackets, battery brackets and stretcher clamps and wheelchair bracket 100kgs. Plus 3x 100Ah AGM batteries 75kgs.The welded steel frames are 3mm box section with 2mm & 3mm steel sheets welded to the box section to to bottom in the rear of the van 250+ kgs. The rear ramp and framed bumper is made from 3mm steel and that must be well over 150kgs. No wonder they have to up plate them to 4.1 tonnes. I've started removing the massive volume of unwanted wires and cables from the back of the ambulance tonight. That's going to be fun over the weekend. The only big thing I need to buy now is an LPG system to run the oven but the prices have gone up. Not sure which company to buy it from yet? I'v just about got everything else for the build.
