SOOOOOO, it turns out I set up the v2 vtx wrong LOL, stay tuned for a redemption video on the 5in hdz build soon! REMATCH VIDEO HERE! ua-cam.com/video/gSLRdGh1N5s/v-deo.html
That's part of what freaks me out the most when looking to buy gear. Especially the goggles. $5-600 isn't exactly chump change, and I wouldn't want to ruin my experience by setting something up wrong, and having no way to identify what's wrong. Good on ya for realizing the mistake, and actually saying something about it.
Yeah that video was crazy bad, something was clearly wrong. Make sure you don't have two female connectors somewhere cause that looked like you didn't have an antenna.
nice video! in my opinion hdzero is really good for racers and tinywhoops (just like analog), but if you are just a regular cruiser and freestyler the dji ecosystem is way better. i know the company sucks but at the end of the day but its about what product gives me the best tool to work with. the no latency hype has a point but whats the point of no latency when you have no vision?
I'm 3 1/2 minutes in and I wanna make my comment before I've seen the rest so I don't come off as much like a hdzero fan boy. So here we go... I sorta don't think this is a good way to compare the two. I have 9 quads with avatar, 1 quad with hdzero, and a few with analog, no DJI for me... but reguardless... I have two very similar quads, one is avatar and one is hdzero. I noticed when I started flyng the hdzero quad it took maybe 5 flights before I started using it for what it's good for. I had flown so much avatar, my flying style was based on that and when given a faster connection I didn't immediately change how I flew. Once I had settled into hdzero on the quad I really started doing stuff I would never have tried on the avatar one. The difference was more noticable when switching back to avatar. When "brain tuned" for hdzero and switching you find you CAN'T do stuff you think of on the fly... when brain tuned for avatar and switching you find you DON"T do stuff because you don't consider it "responsible" (as in having a good chance of success). One of these feels much more limiting. The same thing in reverse may happen when flying at range for example... but in the environment your in I doubt range is an issue and you would need a number of packs to really make this a good comparison. My 2 cents... Thx for your efforts though... always appreciated. Now back to the vid. Ps. I mainly brought this up cause if you don't give your brain time to adjust to hdzero, you'll be missing out, and not get why the hype is even a thing. Personally I really was impressed with just how much better my flying got, and SOME of the improvements carried back to avatar.
always gotta be conscious of where you're standing and which direction you're facing with hdzero or analog. hdzero can look crispy too but it needs more fiddling with like antennas, output, etc
I fly DJI and just got a pair of HD zero goggles for fly some whoops around... I might wait until your redemption video before I test it out and cry into the $600 I just spent on them
Print a lens protector cone that snaps over your lens, it will help with the led glare on your lens, i had the same problem when i put them on my Foxwhoop, use a dark color tpu or it will reflect or black sharpie the inside, i also sharpie'd the the inner corners of the front plate protector on my grinderino so it was less distracting. Since the grinderino has the props and frame in view i run a Hawkeye thumb on it, killer little camera for $40
@@spidersugar_fpv I guess that is still a plus for DJI. I always see issues with WalkSnail and HDzero with typical response that something was wrong with firmware or setup. With DJI everything just works without all the extra nonsense.
I left DJI for walksnail. For all around freestyle, whoops to 5 inchers. Walksnail kills DJI for me. Its better than the vista and you have tons of options for builds. Love walksnail. Never use my DJI stuff anymore. I run the V2 vtx on my 5 inchers and it blows the vista away. I run the 1s vtx in my whoops and its also amazing. I got rid of all my vistas and have one 03 on a medium range land scape cinematic style 5 inch quad..hardly ever fly it. Walksnail wins for me. Its also super cheap to replace parts. Find what works for you and go rip. The goggle wars are getting crazy these days.
Runs patch antennas and at low power, surprised when he flies outside their gain pattern and loses reception..... :shockedpikachuface: The antennas on the analog module are also being parasitic, take it off if you want a fair comparison, use 4 omni's, and run at more than 25mW. Also, run hdzero first then go to DJI to feel the latency more.
see my pinned comment on the transmission issue, forgot to unlock the vtx lol oops, Ill have another video out later this week with another comparison with the fixed issue haha
Even my analog vtx can do better than HDzero crap. What is that thing? I’m sure you have faulty unit like many others. Hdzero is know for poor quality control. It shouldn’t be that bad. Something is really wrong
Don't know what he do but this looks not the same as my hd0. This image I get when I'm far out in the woods or behind big buildings😅 maybe settings not good🤷🏻♂️

Yeah something wacky...
@CrashMk yeah I forgot to unlock 1w mode, it's fixed now and wow ngl it's very good
@showdownz nah it was a simple power unlock I forgot to do, it's shitting out 1w now and is amazingly good lol

great points in here 100% this won't be the last time I fly hdz on a bigger quad, should get the new 5in built this coming week!
Dude we need to kick it some time for real🤘🏻
@Katz_fpvchannel hell yeah!
Dji is my dialy flyer. But I do have hdo and analog. No avatar!! I fly each one for different reasons. But you can't beat dji for picture quality.
100%
I'll take the hdzero goggles off your hand if you don't want em 😂
Ha! You did the vape intro!
;)

Youre making me want to choose dji in this vid. Hd0 looked very disappointing. Do you have anything with walksnail?
I don't have ws, I'd try it if I could get my hands on the new goggles tho
@@spidersugar_fpv alright everybody we need to throw in an help him purchase the new ws goggles!
wow. HDzero might be great for whoops. but most whoop racing is indoors and that looked almost unflyable at times.
see pinned comment lol, oops!

@jp-3dairgunworks152 I'm gonna make a follow-up video this week and touch on some things and that's one of them, it's a bit of a pain to update hdz

that HDzero looks TERRIBLE!!!
see pinned comment
waw, that has to be the worst performance I ever saw from a vtx.
see pinned comment, and the rematch video, it's actually good
Even my analog vtx can do better than HDzero crap. What is that thing? I’m sure you have faulty unit like many others. Hdzero is know for poor quality control. It shouldn’t be that bad. Something is really wrong
yep I forgot to set up the vtx properly oops lol
Are they? Lmao are they????
