The best movie ive ever watched. Mind blowing, heart wrenching movie that brought me to tears. Just a masterpiece in my opinion.
I agree. Never thought anything would come close to Inception as far as being mind-blowing, but Interstellar does it.
I totally agree , and jaws is not the best movie.
the ending sucked tbh, lovey dovey bullshit.
@trha2222 that shark movie?
Awesome but better than „Godfather“ or „The Shawshank Redemption“? 🤔 No!
I wish Hans Zimmer was on this panel, I want to hear from that master of sound and him working on this film.
I don't doubt he was somewhere important I was just sharing my opinion on the fact that it would of been good to hear from the musical genius.
trha2222 Well I wouldn't say he is the only genius, he does have a counterpart near him on the unmatched amazing scale, Thomas Newman but no one else comes close to those two, not by a long shot.
Rok Gostič in front*
Michael Caine kept cracking me up, he's gotta be super fun to be around.
Michael Cain seems like the only old person that isn't grumpy. Every old person in hollywood and outside of it is grumpy, but he isn't. He's actually cool and funny.
Nolan seems like such an intelligent person. And damn his directing...he studied other great directors to look up how to film dust and water! Just gives an idea how much work and passion he put into his movies.
Элиза Росавйел Fuck star sign. Star sign is just fantasy.
Элиза Росавйел
No, it is fantasy. There's nothing to discuss here.
Элиза Росавйел
You limit yourself believing fairy tales.
Элиза Росавйел nolan is an intj in the mbti table, he is a perfectionist
Элиза Росавйел I am INTJ. We feel it as much as anyone else but how we present it to others is like... "Decode me"
One of the greatest films ever created. Still blown away
if i was a child and i saw this i would either be a director, an astronaut, or a movie score because this movie was amazing. the best movie i have ever seen. luckily im a producer so this art is inspiration :)
Jessica is so sweet and humble, not to mention beautiful.
0:05 My cocaine
I can't stop hearing that now.
jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja this comment is so funny for people learning english like me
Greatest comment ever 🤣🤣🤣
Nice to see some intelligent and constructive comments down below. Not something you usually see on UA-cam.
Nolan is a true visionary director, this film was a work of art that blew my mind.
trha2222 you're terribly unfunny. your comments on this video make me cringe.
trha2222 Is that all you've got?
trha2222 I really hope you don't think you're actually good at insulting people.
Funny fact: Cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema was rejected at the Amsterdam Film academy. Most graduates of the AFA are just working on crappy movies and series, Hoyte is rightnow one of the most respected Dutchman in Hollywood together with Rutger Hauer and Famke Jansen. The AFA must be pretty fucking ashamed.
the 3 most appealing things about this, 1-Jessica Chastain's face 2-Jessica Chastain's voice and Jessica Chastain's laugh
When do they talk abt Hans Zimmer? He's the one who took Nolan's film to another level...
Around halfway. You're welcome.
Thanks.
trha2222 you aren't funny
rachelandjolanda 20:17
the soundtrack was brilliant but I'm fairly certain if Nolan picked someone else to do the music the resulting film would have been about the same quality
Michael Caine is such a laugh!
Michael Caine is hilarious
Interstellar is not just a movie but an ode to the human survival beyond boundaries.
Christopher Nolan is a genius. Period.
A genius with hundreds of millions $ on his hands for each movie. Not that hard to be a genius on that resources.
***** he was a genius since his day 1 in the indie genre
***** his track record is why he has money. he writes his movies and he does a brilliant job
Travis Love
I'm not saying he's not good on what he does, but to be considered a genius is too much. He's also very lucky to work with Zimmer on every movie he makes. 40% of his success is on Zimmer's inspiration. Now that guy is trully brilliant, probably the best sound designer ever.
***** no, he is a genius
Just saw this in theaters! Absolutely loved it!
@Afif Abdullah definitely
Chris is really addicted to tea, isn't he?
Dr Famine He's British, what do you expect?! :) *sips tea*
I thnk, Jonathan Nolan should've sat there with them too.
Yup..he is extremely underrated
@@rishavsingh6953 Underrated? You have to be rated in order to be underrated. People act like he doesn't even exist - even though the seed of Memento actually came from him.
@@SuperBajack ya ...it's what I meant..he is extremely talented ...most of the Christopher Nolan's films stories are co written by Jonathan Nolan himself...but it's really sad ...I hope he gets his dues🤗
@@rishavsingh6953 He will. Having a titan like Nolan as a brother means you can get whatever you want made. He'll eventually do something that will get him reknown, or at the very least have creative freedom to do what he wants which is what an artist wants most anyways.
@@SuperBajack by the way r u a filmmaker
Mackenzie seems so sweet, not at all ego boosted by working in such a huge film with acclaimed actors.
Finally somebody figured how to market a movie without spoiling everyone. I don't know much about this movie. All I know is that it stars those people on the panel and Matt Damon, and I have no idea what he is doing.and I love that. I love how they did not shove every single cast member into a trailer.
It's nice to see a movie like this. I'm getting sick of all the spoilers. It feels nice walking into a movie you are excited about, but at the same time you have no idea what's about to happen.
McConaghey being a gentleman that he is at 0:30! :)
krishna Sajja it's so cute)
Michael Caine is such a genuine man, you know the type a of a person who's talented and funny and humble at the same time, well he's one of 'em
Holy Shit Micael Cain is hilarious!!!
Everyone of my friends and people that I talked to who watched the movie says its too long or that it has to much science which is why they hated it. But to me it was one of the best films I've ever seen, because of the amazing visuals, some actual science, the fact that they managed to fit some story into it. Cried at the end. It will hurt your mind because of all the science and it will hurt your legs because the movie is three hours.
Your friends are morons.
+Micah Christiansen They just didn't understand the movie. I understand it now after thinking it 1,5 hours. And now I think I understand Einsteins theory of relativity and theory about endless dimensions
They didn't asked about TARS & CASE :(
What's TARS and CASE?
@@ayomade7496 Humanity's best friends
Love Anne!
Michael Caine is so unapologetically relaxed and comfortable, it’s amazing
I went to this movie today with my elderly dad for a father-son outing. I am still in my twenties. Time is relevant you see, at least you would if you saw the movie. My dad is a well known philosophy, world religions, ethics, and logic professor who has authored 7 text books used in universities today. So, you can imagine how I might have been feeling sitting next to him in this theatrical. It offered many philosophical questions. My dad and I absolutely adored this movie!
They all look lovely, like a family, I really want to do what they do later in my life, I hope I will have the chance, and the courage !
*****
HAHAH!
***** Please elaborate. Sarcasm or statement?
***** Hey I saw you in another video of Interstellar and we even had a little chat lol.
***** I'm good and you?
Victor Borof
This isn't a dating site. ツ
Nolan and his movies are truly one of a kind. We've been blessed by his creative drive.
Michael Caine was so awesome
omg Michael 😂😂
wonderful conference, everybody is so nice, jessica and anne are beautiful down to earth (ironic isn't it?) women, michael caine is so class-act and he's like the collest holarious grandpa, Ch. Nolan is pure genius and so nice to his colleagues, Matthew is si good actor, love him for interstellar and true detective, Mackenzie foy is so cute, you can clearly see she's nervous, but it's absolutely understandable, and emma is also very nice to others, love the movie but all these people making me so happy aswell :)
Christopher Nolan is such a sweet and kind man who also happens to be one of the worlds greatest film makers.
aww jessica is so pretty
Jessica Chastain is fucking beautiful.
Nolan is the epicenter of Innovative Cinema
i just cannot get over how brilliant this movie is....
watching this conference with the soundtrack in the background by Zimmer is awesome!
There is a constant smile on my face.
Mackenize Foy's favorite sci-fi characther is spock. :DD
Nolan is an amazing director he's a passionate director he cares about the story and his movie's.
I laughed when Matt Damon came out of that hibernation chamber thing hahaha.. It was the most random thing because he wouldn't seem like space actor type of guy..
"Matt Damon? What are you doing in space?"
Elysium. Your statement is invalid.
Martian
You are wrong
You dead ass? You’re not dead ass??
Always a but of joy watching. Then all talk about the movie. Its creation and. Its themes great group of creatives 🙏
Jessica !!
Mackenzie looks SO pretty!
Seeing this in IMAX 3D was a trip and some!
Best movie ever. Hands down 💯
The greatest movie of all time from the best sci-fi director.. 👍❤️
Amazing
I love Emma Thomas, but I feel as if Hans Zimmer could have easily taken her seat.
***** In regards to a press conference, having the writer/director there overshadows the need for the producer. She only managed to answer one or two questions and I don't think any were directly aimed at her. I think Hans should have taken her seat. That's all I'm saying.
Jonathan Nolan, Maybe?
T.A.V
absolutely.
one extra seat maybe or perhaps replace little murph in that sense
Amazing film!!
WTF right when the guy asked the favorite sci fi character question I guessed Darth Vader. Mind blooooooooown.
Love these legends in entertainment and theatre!
One of the best directors.... EVER!
Ah man, i was teary eyed in this one lol.
yes pls
Best movie ever
The entire hall was sobbing
SPOILERS
2 things I learned from Interstellar so far after 1 visit to the theatre:
1. It's the pursuit of physical time travel by the human race
2. Or it could be a spiritual time travel in our own consciousness that aren't bound by space, time and gravity, the hint was when Anne said "Love transcend space and time" during a desperate moment in the ship..
***** really awesome
***** If they show too much space people will say its a documentary about space rather than a movie about humanity.
So in my opinion however we try to round around our own fantasies I believe this film was done superbly, and mostly I see this movie beyond the screen, it's the whole idea of human capabilities and it's emotion
***** You said: "One depressing thought about the film is that there probably is no other life forms out there."
Errr....characters in Interstellar clearly state that aliens built the wormhole and the 5th Dimensional construct inside the singularity. So, yeah there are aliens in the movie.
Nineteen1900Hundred "who are 'they'? "'They' are us..."
Ridhuan Abu Bakar Yeah but I believe he meant, "Us" as in: LIFE. Not human life, just life.
First characters comes to mind when thinking about favorite character on SciFi film is Mark Wattney and the T-800 on Terminator2. (Haven't seen any of the Star Wars serie).
Cain is such a gentleman.
1 proper SCI-FI space movie in ...probably..... a decade.....Avatar had a good scenario but dances with wolves in space ...come ON... and Interstellar is just spectacular!
Christopher Nolan's movie is interesting physics experiment
best movie
Nolan gestures a lot with his left hand. So I'm guessing he is left handed. James Cameron is left handed, so is Ridley Scott. The right-brain controls vision and abstract thinking, and also the left side of the body. So its no surprise that these visionaries are left handed.
As an aspiring director, you have seriously made my day.
I love you
Tyler Hoang Lefties unite.
He is left handed! Just search dark knight rises behind the scenes photos and there's an image of him drawing the batman logo on a wall for the film
Anne hathaway still my sexy gorgeous always my idol in hollywood....dhe's amazing award winning actress...💟💟💟💟💟
22:40 Did not know Tarkovsky influenced some of the elemental stuff for this film. Never seen The Mirror, will try to correct that.
Amazing film i se ts yaer woow
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Guys I wanna full interviews like this one.
The dark knight and the dark knight rises.
You know where I can find it?
Nolan should say "I want to believe" at the end XD
Great, great conference (although the sound wasn't very good). Uncle Caine was full of wit as always (his answers on Kip Thorn and shooting on film were hilarious). McKenzie was adorable, Jessica Chastain was radiant, McConaughey was McConaughey, Nolan is as interesting as his movies (even when the bad one TDKR), and Hathaway was just awesome (quit being a vegan AND loves BSG ? That chick is perfect).
McConaughey was McConaughey lmaoooo
I was looking for tars
Had Heat as my favourite movie of all time - this may have just surpassed it
I wish they repeat the questions. It was hard to hear what the audience was asking.
*** WARNING SPOILER ALERT *** This masterpiece is the best movie ever in all ways. Period .... Sorry for this spoiler :-)
Any chance we could one day get a sequel?
when i watch this i feel its real
Michael Caine is so cool
Micheal Caine is just gold
I N T E R S T E L L A R IS THE BEST FILM EVER MADE ! ! !
Do they have volume buttons in London?
Matt Damon is the uncredited villain in the movie!
that was like the bomb!
What a great panel.
The movie was wonderful, the composing was perfect.
There are many unscientific things in the movie which is a shame, but let us not forget that science fiction is half fiction and that half gives the writer leeway to be less precise in terms of scientific integrity.
Entertainment is about escapism after all.
Matt Damon was not even bothered to appear, lol.
♥️🙏
can anyone just reply me what is the question being asked at 3:07 - 3:30. Thanks
Anne Hatheway looking quality in a suit
Just a tiny spoiler - if you have some knowledge of physics, blackholes, space travel or science in general, I advise you to go into this movie remembering that it is science fantasy, it is a movie. I made the foolish mistake of believing that it would adhere to some scientific logic and principles but there were several major glaring logical plot holes that made it feel almost childish in the way the movie was trying to act so scientific.
what unscientific plot hole? (didn't see or notice any unscientific plot holes)
yeah i'd like to know aswell exactly what logical plotholes you are refering to.
Arsen Al xponen To avoid spoiling it for others here on the video itself, might be best to look up www.news.com.au/technology/science/interstellar-the-science-behind-the-movie/story-fnjwlcze-1227115920269
***** Kindly refer to the link provided as anything I write here might spoil the movie for others who have not seen it yet.
I do not have qualifications in astronomy or astrophysics, just common, logical sense and an amateur interest in astronomy and astrophysics since I was roughly 4 or 5 years old when my parents told me of Yuri Gagarin and Neil Armstrong. However I am an aspiring scientist with a BSc. Biotechnology and recently BSc. Medical Science.
27kdon there are a lot of things that the reviewer miss.
Warning, Spoiler:
".. defunded NASA somehow has the capability of launching dozens of crewed ships "
- at school Cooper complain why his kid can't go to university & where is the government money is going.
" ... underground silo that is literally right next to its work offices"
- its not at NASA Florida, its at NORAD. (in the mountain!)
" ... It wasn’t clear why the ships had to have a crew as opposed to being robotic,"
- Cooper & other character repeatedly say: "robot can't adapt" (same reason given by scientist today on why human spaceflight mission is good)
"... and the idea that only low-bandwidth data could be sent back"
- the message is carried by a probe orbiting the wormhole in & out like yo-yo. (like a mail courier)
"...To get that kind of time dilation ...you need to be just over the surface of the black hole,"
- the crew said it is special "gentle" blackhole. (physicist Kip Thorne produced this movie, I guess it have reason, maybe its spinning).
"...There would be huge tidal ... but they (shouldn't) move"
- so if the planet rotate then that tidal will stay up at that place like some stick?? (sound silly... surely a thing that massive will have momentum and keep moving)
Other stuff I don't know:
- no mention of sunlight for planets in the movie
- no mention of how hot is near blackhole for Endurance & Ranger spaceship to survive.
How is McKenzie Foy not Jessica Chastains real life daughter! They really look related.😳
Jessica Chastain has a nice voice
The only thing wrong with the movie was the way they disregarded the relationship to Cooper and his son
But that is how some family dynamics are. My sister is my dad's favourite. Is what it is
No kip Thorne?
so, if there was a time loop, how did they get there the first time without the wormhole?

What kind of stick pin/ badge is the one Nolan is wearing? I mean what does it stand for or what does it mean?
jeronim bou
Thats BROTHERHOOD OF LEAVE......!!...Kind like FREEMASON....!!
Its a remeberance poppy. It is a general symbol of remembrance for all commonwealth soldiers who have died during conflicts since WW1. They are worn during the time around remembrance day.
ukaslan Yeah I figured that out the other day, thanks though! :)
