There are NO words to describe her talents as well as her beauty
It's the little details that amaze me expecially when the actors explain them to u like the tattoo on her arm is for her dad in every show u will ever see

I’m pretty sure the accent is supposed to be bad it adds to the humor I thinks it’s fucking great.

Just saw the touring company in Hollywood yesterday and was simply amazed at the power and fun of this show! I only wish I could see it again, but alas, it leaves this weekend.... This is one of the songs that really has Cyndi Lauper's stamp on it!

All the accents in the Broadway cast are so bad, this included. So pleased I was able to see the London cast do this.
why is there not a full proshot of this yet.... and if you do one, please do the west end one so there aren't any awful fake accents

The rhythm bothered me so much in this
I love Annaleigh but her accent in this is totally off, this is one song that the London cast always do really well so this to me seems a big disappointment
totally! i love her, she's got oodles of talent but not just in this song, the broadway cast for me does not even touch the west end cast, the accents are just too important to be wishy washy

Jeanette A I’ve seen the interview where she says that, and in the interview she does an attempt at a ‘proper’ Northampton accent to try and show the audience why she had to tone it down... but the truth is her original accent still wasn’t right. I think she’s talented but there’s a lot of improvement needed when it comes to English accents. She also said her accent coach wasn’t British... maybe that’s her problem. But either way, anyone who is British will tell you that the OBC is hard to get through because the accents are so dire. Billy Porter’s is a pretty decent attempt though. It’s just very distracting when you know what they’re trying to sound like but they really sound nothing like it.
