Shooting at water isn’t a physics attribute of the water. It is a hit effect. You apply it to a surface (including water) and it plays back the effect.
I honestly believe the lack of a campaign in Bf2042 caused them to not put much detail into the small things like glass shattering and tires popping. Had they did a campaign, I’m sure they would’ve focused on those details more. MW2 takes the cake on this one unfortunately.
There is no better way to destress after a long day of work than hopping on for a few matches in Shipment 24/7. Honestly wish they'd just keep that mode on forever.
You gotta take into account the size of the maps in terms of how much detail the devs can put in without effecting performance. Like Cods biggest map from beta was 2 zones out of 8 on a big battlefield map, meaning they can add more details in a smaller space.
That’s on them. The details matter only if you can actually see them in-game. It was their decision to make 128 player maps. Past battlefields were perfectly fine running details in large scale maps.
Na bro do u understand how section rendering works?😭 there is never a time where everything is rendered everywhere in the map at once. Things render in as you get close to them, that’s why you see things pop in sometimes. They just didn’t make a good Battle field and that’s it.
I find the underwater stuff kind of funny since CoD already got this fairly decent back in Black Ops 3. The comparison is still excellent however, good work my guy!
Water: Tie (MW2 for better looking fluid collision, BF2042 for things becoming wet) Ladders: MW2 Car Tires: MW2 (but mag dumping to pop them is ridiculous) Glass: MW2 Swimming: MW2 Healing: MW2 Peaking doors: MW2 Tanks: BF2042 Bullet tracks: MW2 Firing mode switch: MW2 Smoke grenades: BF2042 Shoot-through: MW2 Grenade craters: BF2042 Winner: MW2 with a score of 10 to 4
I play both games, and i think each have their own qualities. But in BF 2042, I feel more realistic, like I'm really in a war, idk how to explain, the sound quality, the whole thing feels real. BF 2042 still have a long way to go, if they really want to fix the game as they are already doing. On the other hand, I also like the more "arcade-ish" feel on COD 2, and they definitely added a lot of things that I thought I would never seen in a COD game.
I adore BF’s water because of it’s color. But the animation of the MW2022’s water looks really good. Both are nice step ups to the next gen of fps games.
Really interesting to see that geaphics are more important than gameplay. So if there is a native 8K Edition of BF3, that would be the next gen of fps? In my Opinion the next gen of fps is already avaible. Just look at "Pavlov". That in a larger scale with nice graphics would be awesome. But currently system requirments would be a joke for the most people out there.
In Battlefield you can also hold 3 to heal. then there is also an animation .-. edit: the healing syringes are even available as an extra tool. and there is also an animation for that
Water vs Bullet: BF2042 Water vs Grenade: MW2 Vehicle on Water: MW2 Climbing a Ladder: MW2 Shooting car tires: MW2 Glass physics: MW2 Swimming: MW2 Healing animation: MW2 Peeking: MW2 Tank: BF2042 Bullet tracks: MW2 Single mode and Auto mode: MW2 Smoke effect: MW2 Shoot through: MW2 Grenade crater: NEITHER So in my opinion, If mw2 actually adds craters, and more smoke and effects on the environment when you fire a tank or a heavy firearm, it would easily beat the shit out of bf2042. So in conclusion, Mw2 takes the W.. i guess..
I personally found the smoke effect in BF2042 to be much more realistic and effective in gameplay, you could barely see anything and it actually look like real smoke, I have been in a house where it was covered with smoke due to a frying pan being left on the stove and burning, it looks just like that. Also Healing animation In BF2042 exists, this person just didn't use it correctly. Glass physics was a draw, they both looked fine to me anyway. Single and auto mode is again draw because one doesn't have sound and other doesn't have animation, so it's not really a debate. Grenade crater effects was still better in BF2042 for me personally, especially if you do it in dirt.
In my opinion BF2042 wins water drops on vehicle, hand animation on doors and crater. Neither do well on car tires, both unrealistic. Feels like both BF and COD are not as good as I expected for next gen
And yet the CoD cannot make it so that when you drive a tank, you knock down fences and lampposts, but what happens instead you end up flipping the tank itself. TBH neither of the games are good and neither one of them is finished. COD campaign was one big buggy mess. I would not recommend anyone to buy either of the games at the current stage and price, its just pure waste of money. Or just buy the games try them out for under 2 h and refund them if you don't like them. That is of course if your are using Steam. Effects and details should be the least priority, as most important is stabilizing the game itself, which neither of them have done for their latest releases.
4:25 In COD all doors are automatic even wooden doors, you dont have to touch it to open or CLOSE! In BF there is an actual animation of touching the door. 5:22 in COD every tank has hidden portal where you enter in an instant. In BF there's an actual animation when entering a vehicle.
not once have i seen an animation for entering a tank and ive played almost all the battlefields it is the same as COD it's vehicles that have the animation but i don't even remember those for battlefield either
BF also has automatic doors for many buildings. You can claim control of these doors for your team, then they're harder/longer to open for the other team, who can take control back too. It helps a bit for defending a point.
@TIS Plays as far as I can remember theres always animations on BFV when entering or exiting a tank. Thats why you are vulnerable to be attacked while entering or exiting because it isnt instant like magic like in COD lol
I'm starting to think bf2042 decided to remove some slight detail so they could better optimize the game, I can't even imagine adding features that will greatly affect performance while simultaneously active in 128 players game mode.
Then they should drop the 128 players, i'd rather have the details of BF4-1-5, tires, water physics, animations, shoot through, landscape alteration, incredible destruction, ... BF would have won absolutely every single round here and would have needed another 10 minutes video on top of that if we were speaking about one of these games.
While call of duty is better, you forgot to use the proper self-heal method at 4:14. I believe there's a key dedicated to it with its own animation 8:04 Tessellation was broken during the BETA for MWII in comparison to post launch Battlefield 2042
B2042 is just a pathetic waste of time. I spent £90 on this game on launch, only to be spending 4 hours on it because its broken. No payment back from Sony, never trust Sony with your money.
Both Games had incredible sounds till 2019 when MW reboot came, It was far better from bf5 and also was better when bf2042 came. And now it already is. 🤷😁😁
Both games are rocking truly and extremely fun to play.. The devs really from both games are really trying to keep all of us happy with extra content and more...CODMW2 really has took it to the top.. I'm happy with both companies and can't wait to see next-gen or some more UE5 games or some added in UE5 MODDED on to both of those games. All around both are really great and a true treasure to play...
Keep in mind that 2043 is like 3 or 4 times bigger than MWII. Developing matches and maps designed to have 128 persons at the same times is not an easy thing to do. Love the game, it has come a long way and DICE is finally redeeming it. If you haven’t, give it a try.
nah it's trash, specialists made engineer useless, there are 5 weapons of each type only, no squad leader, no one gives out ammo, the only upgrades for a gun are 50 scopes you have and that's it. Also no destruction. Basically any bf before was 2x better at least

Honestly wish they'd just keep that mode on forever.

the water really surprised me in MW2 when i first played. The physics of it and the way you swim and float and your buoyancy is all so slick
@soft_dicc dudes right, battlefield really dropped the ball
Na bro do u understand how section rendering works?😭 there is never a time where everything is rendered everywhere in the map at once. Things render in as you get close to them, that’s why you see things pop in sometimes. They just didn’t make a good Battle field and that’s it.

That's exactly why it is called as battlefield..
@@CJNG_1 Yep, but people are trying to say that COD is on the same level, which is not when it comes to "battlefield".

So in my opinion, If mw2 actually adds craters, and more smoke and effects on the environment when you fire a tank or a heavy firearm, it would easily beat the shit out of bf2042.

The attention to detail especially in the weapons for MW2 sold me. As someone who has used many of these weapons, they were spot on.
