Looks good 👍🏻 would like to see a 1,2,3,4,5 year update on the Raptor Liner.
Hi there. Just found your video of the raptor lining. I just replaced the entire roof and now I'm faced with what to put on top. I've considered rubber lining, too and pvc sheets, but the cost is crazy. Can I put it on bare wood? Can I use this process without a membrane on top?
How has it held up?
Looks fantastic. I'm getting ready to Raptor line my 21.5' Class C Fleetwood, and you are first RV I've seen sprayed with Raptor. Glad to know it goes right over metal and fiber glass.
I will be doing and 19 foot box truck inside and out for my grooming business
Good job you guys, thanks for taking the time to do the video
No problem, thanks for the nice comment!
Bad ass rig! Liner looks awesome! Y'all nailed it!
Thank you sir!
Good job I'm doing my 1987 Toyota r.v in raptor 👍
Oh awesome, good luck!
That's a beautiful RV, and a super bad as manly mustache... Me and my mustache are proud
hahaha thank you!
I have a similar stache. You have good taste.
Nice job, rad mustache!!!
Riki Tiki Cool, thanks for sharing. Getting ready to do my GMC Box Truck.
Looks awesome! You like the Raptor coating better than Rhino? What made you choose? Thanks! ♥️🕉🌿
Did you do the top of the roof and any updates now also are you coch and sealing or does the rhino lining stay on for a lifetime without having to do normal seals
Excellent
I mustache you a question. Why wait on Amazon when O'reilly sells it?
have you considered installing raptor liner on your mustache?
Baha, if I were a State Trooper I would peel that thing like a pop can.
You gotta "Old Man" that rig ASAP,
Not to knock it, I'm about to do mine in desert tan w cammo ... 26' Ford 7.3 idi 1985
Runs like new
70k miles.
Dirrrt cheap is our motto
Just wait for it..
It looks awesome.
Eh I'll probably won't leave readers comment but I know that videos 2 years old how's it holding up As far as leaks go We're looking at redoing an airstream all airstream's lake even the new ones and we're thinking this could be a fix So how's the spray on bed liner working as far as cracking or leaking or anything like that
Wow, those are some solid arms! Good job body building.
With regard to the color of your van - it does not make it visible on the road at night and it will absorb sun heat too much. This is why vans are painted white. While it looks masculine and 'cool', it will overheat on the inside. Vans get so much sun hitting them from top and sides. Also, its a pity you painted over those nice silver chrome front bumpers and grille. It would have been a great contrast.
I'm grateful for this video. I need to paint my van but was not sure how to go about it and which type of bedliner paint to get. I also have some delamination. I wonder if that is what you fixed on the fiberglass. Great tips about cleaning the gun nozzles - maybe have two guns so you can switch easily? The finish looks durable and solid. I'd love to get that on my van too. Nice work!
Restoring a '73 Kenskill travel trailer-sanded thru most of the blue/white OEM paint -down to 98% aluminum.
I wasn't sure if I should polish it or paint it? And if I painted it, what color? Just wasn't sure.. TIL NOW!!!
Awesome, good luck on the project. Glad the video helped.
LOOKS GREAT...GOOD JOB
Nice moustache!
Hey man I was wondering about over spray. Looks like you guys did this in your driveway next to your house did you have a problem with the paint getting on the house or anything nearby? Thanks!
How is this holding up ?
I need to do this to my travel trailer cuz holy crap I live in Hail Alley
It works well, you can get different colors too!
What kind of primer did you use
Did you ever think of using a burnishing sander instead of an orbital sander?? I hear it takes 1/8 the time as using an orbital sander.
Tint the windows and lights and you good to go
This is Awesome!
Update on how it’s the liner is holding up?
I was wondering the exact same thing.
I got exact same camper came here looking way stop it leaking
Have you noticed a difference in fuel economy since spraying on the raptor liner?
Nope, still the same 11 mpg.
Looks awesome. Thinking of doing this to mine . Any regrets on going so dark. I'm nervous about how hot it would get in the summer.. what are your thoughts?
We didn't notice any difference after we changed it. We used it on a 2 week trip to Canada during August and were comfortable the whole time.
You think this stuff will seal an rv roof? My class c needs a new roof was thinking about going heavy with this stuff right on top and sealing the whole roof
I honestly don't think it would work well as a sealant. Especially along seams. We still used sealant on all joints.
Does it make your camper hotter in the sun? Looks sweet, have an old bed camper I want to do this to.
Not that we’ve noticed, we didn’t do the roof that’s still white. So maybe that would make it hotter.
You guys did a great job it look tough AF. So you guys did 2 coats of the whole trailer and truck itself Right? You did 2 coats. So you ordered 16 bottles? Was that enough or would you have prefer more? Also how long is your total trailer?
Thanks in advance
Thanks, it was super hot out when we did it. Yeah we ordered a total of 16 bottles and ended up using 13 total with 2 coats. The whole RV is 22" long.
@@steeleliving2995 thank for replying. this helps me out a lot i appreciate it.
I am curious how well the liner is holding up since the time of the application
It's held up very well everywhere except for where there was sealant along the seams. If you're planning to do it on a RV try to get off all the sealant prior to application. If I had to change one thing I would've done that.
@@steeleliving2995 Yes I was looking at lining our travel trailer, but wanted to check on longevity of yours, Thank you for then heads up on the sealant areas that really will help.
Does it wash pretty well? Thinking of doing my front 5th wheel cab
Yeah it washes fine.
Is that a Honda generator under your driver side compartment?
Yeah, it had an onboard Onan generator in there originally years before we bought it and it actually caught fire when a previous owner was using it. It was an empty compartment when we bought it and we just got a Honda EU2200 for it.
@@steeleliving2995 I have the same rig! U guys' looks amazing! Great work. Do u use guys have a video on how to use the oven & turn the water on. Idk how because it's my 1st time owning an rv.
Good job. I'll roll it on my van, don't like the spray system. Nice Stache.
Epic Mustache 😎
How is this looking a year later? I’m thinking of doing the same thing
It's still holding up well. It didn't stick well to where there was sealant on the seams already but I just resealed it with black sealant and that took care of it.
I'm surprised that you've built a huge rv on a Toyota chasis... I never thought it was possible
I didn't build it personally, this one is a winnebago version. A few companies built them in the 80s and 90s. Now they're vintage RVs with a small cult following.
umm ..that's factory and they have literally been around for decades...
Just curious about how much in liner this cost you? I’m entertaining the same idea recently
We bought 2 8 packs from Amazon they cost $240 each so the total was $500ish.
@@steeleliving2995 not bad at all!
How has nobody addressed the mustache
That stache' rocks. : )
IT'S A ME, MARIO!!!
Movember?
That's going to be at least 20 degrees hotter than white
perfect for winter
That looks hotter than shit-I mean temperature wise
Bro looks Like Bronson UK Inmate geez ................. could have been cast along with Tom Hardy
Raptored lots of vehicles including my Scamp trailer if original truck paint is scuffed and fibreglass no need to primer. Can not recommend the vari nozzle gun enough, makes a great product even better
Awesome, thanks for the tips.
No problem looks great by the way, am seriously thinking of doing my coahbuilt in raptor
