With all the respect for this guy. I know drummers with a bigger reputation and more skills. It shows that the 'drum qualities' not always play such a big role to play with these artists like Bruno Mars, but as a musician you have to be in the right place at the right time, and know the right people who can give you this job, and the grant factor plays a big role in this.

I was never a big fan of DW’s kits. But, Eric’s kit and Thomas Lang’s kits are the only ones, that I’ve came to like so far. But, they make some incredible snares.

I agree with you on that. But maybe there's something in that "blood connection" (i.e., Switchfoot, The Corrs, old Paramore) that connects them musically, even though there's tons of drummers who are waaaay better than Eric.
