This is what we call Box Logic, good Pinhead mains do this a lot, with enough experience and game sense you can extrapolate its rough location to position for interrupts even with just the boxes aura reveal.

brother someone hit me with your old pinhead build in solo q and the only gen we got done in the whole game was the one we tripled before pinhead found the box, the rest of the game was a slug fest while pinhead kept looking for the box or interrupting the box. It was my second or third solo q game after a couple other bad games (other reasons), I closed dbd and genuinely went outside for a walk after that game. I did this once a year ago or two, I learned how the box spawned, not having any serious build on, I managed to get a chain hunt to start 12 times in one single game, I was laughing so bad mostly because no one managed to do gens in that game, with this build I bet it would've been even more chain hunts, you have beaten the record now Coco. Well, on small maps like saloon it’s possible to keep a chain hunt going on forever… but on bigger maps a little bit more challenging since survivors are spread out more, it’s less likely you’ll get to the other corner in time.
I was the tapp in the game, and I have to say I was a little mad about the tunnel. But when I saw the hell that was this game, I have to thank you for getting me out quickly
Only permanent solution by the Devs I can think of is to make Chains no longer cause sudo-incap. They‘d still slow you down and the box would still cause Scream interrupts and reveal you, but you could do Gens and Totems. It would make him a lot weaker but basically put a pin in the issue
I can already sense the change notes to: prevent pinhead from picking up his box, make it so the chain hunt timer stops if pinhead camps the box and it will relocate if he stays too close (like pyramid head camping a caged survivor) which resets the chain hunt timer, a downed survivor will drop the box same as Franklin's.

This feels like im about to mori a survivor and suddenly my game character turns around and tortures me. Not the suffering indivisible from pain and pleasure but just pure agony. NO NO NO NO!
While this was very funny the enemy team was basically ignoring gens, this doesn't really seem particularly strong or anything, just funny. If chain hunt was actually threatening it would be decent, but the chains that spawn are terrible, they're inaccurate, often spawn behind structures such that they literally cannot hit the person they're targeting, and don't spawn frequently enough. Some guy in twitch chat said "How did they finish gens" like it's inconceivable that they finally started focusing on gens instead of just running about.
To counter this survs could run to all 4 corners of the map after the chain hunt, making the box spawns much harder to predict as the / for you to beat them to it, then once they find the box just hold it hostage while team do gens
I always thought it’s crazy how survivors have no difficulty finding the box and solve it in 5s but you need to LOOK for the box since it doesn’t have a aura
I tried this with lethal pursuer instead of iron maiden, worked even better since (assuming theres no distortion) you can easily know the boxes position if you know him well enough
