I'm a cancer patient and have lost my hair. Wigs are uncomfortable everyday and I'm bored of the same old style of turban. This is a great look. Will definitely give it a go. Thank you for sharing :-) xx

St. Paul calls for women to cover their heads in the Church and we Orthodox have been continuing this Jewish/Middle Eastern practice since the beginning. I commend you! I'm an Orthodox Christian Jew who LOVES covering my head! I actually make head scarves that are white with an iron-on transfer design. Shalom!

Same for me. I had a dream where Yahweh told me to cover my hair. I told him no I couldn’t do it because people would think I have cancer. He pressed me till I finally saw that He is right. I now understand. When I first started trying to tie a scarf I heard, “all of it”. I know He doesn’t want us showing any of our hair and I was directed to watch these videos.

Thank you very much for making these tutorials ! My best friend from childhood (we are now in our mid-fifties ...ugh...) and I were just recently discussing past use of head coverings in our own religion.
In the 1960s Catholic women stateside, were still wearing head coverings to Mass or any formal religious gathering , service like weddings, funerals, wakes etc. Over time we have done away with that tradition. We both agreed that it made us sad thus was no longer done.
I shared a web site of companies still making them commercially with her. They can be so flattering . And on you esp they are very beautiful! Seems to have tapped into an enhanced , deeply radiant side of you !
Just wanted to take a moment share that view and thank you personally. My friend and I have both said we would like to begin wearing them again for church services. Who knows, it could really begin a tradition of bringing back a few older ideas ! ❤❤

Shalom Andrea! Your designs are gorgeous and I commend you for keeping this mitzvah. I'm an Orthodox Christian Jew who LOVES covering her head! Actually, original Christianity was considered a sect of Judaism and the Orthodox Church has continued the practices, including that of women covering their heads. Most just use the head covering during Liturgies but I like to wear it all the time, mainly because of my Jewish heritage. Todah rabah for your great videos! Shalom ;-)

Because I only have one wall mirror, I end up using a hand mirror, or even the mirror that comes with a makeup compact, to view the back of my head and check the finish on my wraps. It's awkward, but I eventually get it just right. The effort is always worth it in the end. Thanks for this tutorial.

this type of crisscross wrapping is integral to the style of Sikh turban wrapping. they use very different wraps, however. very long, narrow scarves. but the criss cross wrapping and the tucking is almost identical in execution. perhaps you could look at a couple of sikh women's turban vids? they are very meticulous about the wrapping of their turbans.

I watcehed your two videos on part 1 and 2. Explaining why you began covering your hair. They were wonderful very uplifting. As im struggling with weather to do so. I love the idea and reason. I am embracing my jewishness. however my husband is not a jew. I dont think he would mind me wearing a head scarf...he doesnt mind me going to synagouge. I usually dont mind being different. Why coveting my head is a struggle. I put to much emphasis on the outer ...im a work in progress. Ive been acclimating my self to be more torah observant. Id love to have a friend like you.. your videos are encouraging. Any imput would be appreciated...

Sorry if I am butting in, I cant help myself sometimes ! Lol!
I just wanted to say that since I started wearing a tichel, there has been:
      A) No more of my hair in our meals (Lol)
      B) Less hair in my shower drain and brush
      C) it's luster has increased and its less damaged by the environment.(Sun, dust, wind, chemicals etc)
      D) Its not in my face or blown everywhere
      E) my husband and I have a common ground. He likes helping me pick out tichels that look good or he thinks are attractive, and he likes helping me tie them in unique and interesting ways. The latest has been those circular scarves in walmart, the ones that do the seven in one looks kind of thing? He figured out how to wrap them as tichels for me, and they are so comfortable!
      There are benefits! :)

If you were your own best friend, what would you say to yourself right now? :)
I am ornery and go and tell my husband "You aint doin' your job in making me feel beautiful, cause I is depressed and feelin' ugly, and that's in the contract you signed when we got married"....lol. :)
He usually laughs and then he says something nice. A hug works too.

a child is not standard Jewish ever any more, Aryans are natural they do not do justice and they suspect anyone who does justice, they also follow an Aryan lifestyle, you must be Aryan or a little Aryan to understand an Aryan lifestyle it is sort of fun but the appearance gets boring and you have to understand it is without the Shepherd!
