Fun fact: running a music label is no longer the biggest mistake of Ye’s career
Big Sean is
Ya, it was getting in the music industry with a certain group of people 😢
@@Evil33- lmaoo
@@YungHDizzle You mean the fake Jews aka racist zionists
@@JEFFMAN90 yup, they aren’t the biblical Jews, they are khazars or “chazars”
Interesting people if I might do the least
Good Music went from Getting Out Our Dreams to Getting Out Our Deals.
🤣🤣🤣
Good one 😅
Lmfao
💀💀💀
🤣
Still can't believe Ye said all that about Big Sean, considering how much Sean showed love to Good music. "Good" literally became one of his signature adlibs. Sean really was the cash cow of the label besides Ye himself, so it's crazy to hear Ye take a dump on his career.
this is the kanye side you gotta dislike. horrible boss.
It’s even crazier to think that ye was just being fake for all those years as ye even said himself when he signed big Sean that big Sean was the second coming of Kanye
Early 2010s era was fire 🔥 we still had Ymcmb, MMG and G.O.O.D Music going hard as crews.
A lot of TDE was more out there during the first half of 2010s as well. Now only Kendrick and SZA get shine
@@ReeVoque true forgot about TDE kinda like Asap Mob too were active early 2010s
Also OFWGKTA and A$AP Mob. Hip hop was eating good back then.
@@justinallen7652 man fa real it was a special time like a 2nd golden era in my opinion
Graduated high school 2010 yessir if you know you know. Meek mill, drake, J. Cole, wiz Khalifa, big Sean, big krit, mac miller, Nipsey, watch the throne, on top of everyone else named in this thread. It was no shortage of good music at the time. Everyone was hungry. Like dude above said for me it was a golden era.
RIP GOOD MUSIC, gone but never forgotten.
Who? Lmao
Yo Elvis you be havin the craziest beats no funny shit, as a nigga from the Bronx thank you for all you do
good friday’s was so ahead of it’s time
eveything is on Soundcloud if you're looking. it's almost "Christmas in Harlem" time
You know 2006 was a different time. For John Legend to sell over 230,000 first week and only go number 3. That’s crazy.
This was a great label with incredible artists. So sad for those who was signed to this label.
Proud to be a subscriber to you bro, you work hard and it shows in your videos. Bless up
I appreciate that
Works hard to shit in hip hop. Dissing legends while praising iggy.
I told yall this guys going be big love the work
Thank you man
I Believe that Pusha T is one of the only who never had a fallout with Ye, it was bound to die…
That might be changing soon because he just broke out about Kanye's comments about Jewish people
@@williefaulker Exactly. Ye has officially distanced himself from everyone with common sense.
Still next to Ye in here
@Dan DeLuxe - Not only the Jewish comments, but saying he loves Hitler & the Nazis. 🥴 Dude needs medication. He's wildin'. Don't nobody love the Nazis ffs.
@@KabbalahSherry He needs more than just medication. He needs therapy and friends that will actually support him while holding him accountable.
All he's had in his life so far are yes men. Pusha T included. Push only broke his silence once Ye began his anti-Semitic rants. He didn't criticize him before when he was saying anti-black stuff.
What bothers me the most is that Hov has yet to say anything about this. It's thanks to him that Ye became famous in the first place.
Man I still remember looking forward to good music fridays when I lived in Shanghai
It's really funny and sad that 10 years ago when Mercy was released they owned the world i remember blasting the album nonstop despite being 9 years old this album when't hard I can't forget this memories but i want to say thank you helloyasine for the videos you do they are very insightful great and fantastic been watching since 2019
thank you Matthew appreciate your continued viewing
Your welcome
It’s like that label was peak hip-hop and then they dropped the ball because of drama in the label but with the talent on that label, we were blessed that it even happened. Ye never wanted to be a record label owner he just wanted to make clothes and be a fashion designer so this label was just a mere steppingstone towards that
Big sean doesn’t get the props he deserves, he’s definitely 2nd best rapper outta good music
fr
Wait is first push or cudi🤔
@@GhostFace69069 kanye genius
G.O.O.D Music had a crazy ass line up
I love these long form videos. Great for when I’m working at home
Glad I can make your work more enjoyable.
Common is an underrated legend of hip -hop
this one's gonna hurt 🤕. thanks for the WAVE 🌊 of content bruv. all the best.
Appreciate that
Yassine congrats on the new visual rebranding, looks sick! Your mini docus are always on point!
That was a G.O.O.D. run tho for a « small » label!
Boutique labels always have a mean run in beginning, a resurgence then fall off
Very true. Jay Z said something similar many years ago
Started following you years ago for them twitter hot takes and now you out here making some of the best long for hip hop content on UA-cam! Love the growth, keep it up!
It's 2022 and I still Listen to '90s Hip Hop
Whats crazy is "Creepers" is my favorite song on that entire album and a top 5 song of Cudi to me
very underrated song
the energy is HUGE. just played it on my radio show last episode with some KIDS SEE GHOSTS. Brighter days...
This is so sad. I was trying to get signed by Good music after I graduate highschool. So sad.
You need to cover AK exposing Don Toliver’s label for getting him fake streams/ bot interactions
Apparently Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest is also apart of GOOD Music. He's never released anything under them though.
I really miss cudi and Kanye’s friendship
RIP to the glory years of GOOD Music (2005 - 2013)
It might have come & gone but it made an impact while it was here & it definitely allowed a bunch of artists to "get out their dreams".
I could feel this coming since 2018's Ye project. I'm honestly surprised it lasted this long.
I loved the Cruel Summer album. I could tell they lacked cohesiveness on some parts. It felt like everyone just sent in their verses. They really meshed well though.
Mic and Production quality on this is crisp af. Love to see the improvement as you progress
Man I now don’t have to be lied to about music
You’re my plug
the death of GOOD Music is the biggest musical tragedy of the 21st century
this was by far one of your BEST videos, you need to have your own mini-documentary series on netflix or something.
Love these videos bro. I know you did a Rockefeller one but you should do a state property one, there was a lot of stuff going on behind closed doors when dame dash and jay fell out .
Big Sean and Kanye were like Lebron and Dwayne Wade. Sad he got under paid.
Facts, they only made classics together.
Ye asked Jay for help with the label but Jay just gave him a long list of monsters
Rumor has it he still sends those lists over voice-mail to this day
You've been going crazy with the uploads recently. 🐐🐐🐐
I try
Absolutelyd love the record label content you put out
My Chemical Romance, Hannah Montana, and John Legend is a hilarious top 3
This is the content I love from you and want more of!!
This took me down memory lane fr
Didn't GOOD at one point sign the woman who was featured on 90210 on Rodeo?
070 shake sooooo slept on 😭
She's otw up
Great video, made me check out several Ye songs I haven't heard in years
I remember hearing big Sean for the first time on the “I’m on it” with French Montana, nipsey hussle and wiz khalifa
great retrospective, keep up the good content
I feel so bad for the talents that were slighted. Big Sean's words were really sad. I never think it's a good thing when an active recording artist owns a label. I can think of more instances where the acts were worst off.
Great research on this video..... I always thought Common was from NYC for sum reason?
Teanna Taylor was supposed to be the next Rihanna I’m banking on it.
Wzrd was always my favorite cudi project. Ppl just don't understand it back then...
D'banj was there for mercy from Nigeria, let's give credit where credits due
i decided by big sean is one of the most underrated albums of all time, shit a banger from start to finish
My Last is the perfect song for times like this. “2x if you love Good Music” … 🙌🏾
If u can, just edit that small jump
Cut? At time stamp- 20:07 or 20:06 right when your about to elaborate more on designers departure. Just a small oversight on another well put together, researched and spoken video. Hopefully its still in the timeframe where it can be fixed and then if u want just delete this comment lol but overall just trying to help and all the best bro. You have an inspirational story and work ethic and you’re truly someone id love to learn from.
Hi, yeah I just made the edit on youtube editor. It will probably take an hour or two to process, thank you. Really appreciate it
This video was bitter sweet. I'm not a fan of the things Kanye West has been saying and doing lately, But as far as music I'm a big Kanye West fan. And I'm a fan of good music and have been since the beginning. That consequence album is underrated. G.o.o.d music has so many classic albums.
But to keep it a buck I was just thinking about this yesterday, a boutique hip hop labels die. Death row, bad boy, so so def, rocafella.
Been watching homie for years , literally watch the blow up
I just want G.O.O.D to come back and give us Cruel Winter…that album was like Ye’s Detox
ye has a hundred detox’s lol. I don’t think cruel winter was ever really worked on though. We got Champions and that was it
GOOD Music was huge in 2010-2012
You really putting in that work ✨🔥
helloyassine with banger after banger after banger after banger after banger
6:40 travis in the back right like 👯💃👯👯
Big Sean was done dirty
It's hard to watch because everything always starts out with good intentions and has high potential for great success. It had amazing success. But then with success and all the celebrations reality sets in and everybody has their own paths focuses and concerns. That's the reason why artist should just be artists and exact should just be the effects and they should never cross paths or one person shouldn't be more than just a artist or an exact because then if they are the head of everyone else as the leader everyone gets neglected and the whole situation and implodes. Sad. Tragic even.
the new production value on these latest vids r crazy, hopefully there r still some pepe thumbnails in the future
070 SHAKE is so good bro
Yassine making it feel like a funeral
Helloyassine tryna get that Christmas youtube check looking right 😀
G.O.O.D. was really good for a while. I saw Kanye a few times including front row in 2005. I saw and met Common in 2008. I saw Kid Cudi early 2009 right after Day N' Nite was released and he opened for Common. I would try and buy as many of their albums as I could. The last few times Kanye West came around I was free that evening and still had no interest in seeing him. What I miss? Another on-stage rant? Kanye nowadays seems to change his style to whatever sounds most popular.
Dam big Sean used to b lit
This was my favorite label back in college and I would bump cruel summer everyday the year it dropped. This news is disappointing
I hope GOOD music comes back someday.
It will but in a different way. I can see him getting different type of people. Like Dre signed Eminem. Do you know where I'm going with this.
So sad I'm not giving up on the release of Cruel Winter 😢😢
Rip good music
I like the new style of videos
Correction.. 'I don't like was Ye and Cheif Keif's song
I don’t know of a label that dropped such high quality art consistently.
The only one I think that may have competed was Mac’s REM.
I love the video but we need a part two !
To be fair, even drakes label doesn't currently have any big stars that are still relevant.
to be fair how could cudi fit on mercy or clique. cudi’s sound is entirely different from what they were going for
Detroit 2 is amazing.
Last few minutes look like they need to be re-edited, ended abruptly too. But I was really into the video up until then. Good job
This vid is 🔥🔥🔥 but I'm a lil sad u missed out on saying "All G.O.O.D things must come to an end" 😭
I miss when music still sold , if u sold 185k first week today u would be number 1 for like a month . 185k then and common came in second
Cy Hi is a real one for not wanting to switch up
*RhymFest "Brand New" Was Dope Too*
That song RUINED my life for a short time, anytime anyone said brand new around us at least 2 of us would start with that damn chorus. Smh...dope song tho 💯
never heard of it until now
Those words from Designer at 20min LOL
Loving the new look, Yassine
I bought pretty much all of the early G.O.O.D. Music albums, and I liked them all. I'm not really into Common, but he still had some dope tracks. I had to go back and listen to the Consequence album, and it had more dope songs than mediocre. There's really nothing on his album that was trash. I feel like he could have taken 3-4 songs off the album, and it would have been better. I've never really been a fan of club tracks, and he had about 3-4 club joints on that, that I wasn't really feeling. It's too bad to see G.O.O.D. not being around anymore, because they're some of the last, that are making quality music. TDE and Griselda are the only other labels that come to mind, that are making the same level of quality. I guess TDE are going to be the kings now. Griselda makes dope $#!t, but TDE is a little better in my opinion.
Dreamville is defo top of that discussion imo
Great video bro
Glad you enjoyed
The only person i feel bad for is 070shake and kaycc
never forget yassine saying nigga 🙏🏾
Good job fam👍
There are dark days ahead…
The way good music/kanye did Desiigner dont sit right with me
It’s crazy how disney had chokehold on the music industry with them disney stars
I legit read it as “good music” and it still applies 🤣 … don’t get me wrong tho there is definitely good music being released every now and then!
Common, kudi, Ye & Pusha all had a beef with Drake at a point of their careers... 😂
