Amazing scenes seen from up there! Thanks for taking us with you! The funny thing is, it even looked a bit familiar to me, because that is where the tutorial mission of Flight Simulator is!

Thank you for sharing. I had an opportunity to hike in and out of the canyon in the mid 90s and while nothing beats that on the ground experience of the canyon's steepness, the views of the canyon are fairly limited from the trail.
What an awesome trip! The view is amazing but also terrifying. I am glad you got to go see your friend and do this amazing flight over the Grand Canyon. What an adventure!

Ha ha! First I wouldn't do it if Tim weren't a safe pilot and his plane wasn't safe. "Experimental" doesn't mean unsafe, it's just the classification of the aircraft.

Thank you for the safety reminders. We were prepared but still had members of our group experience heat exhaustion. Take more water than you think you will need and don't expect to complete the trail in an afternoon. We took.three days in July.

Welcome to Arizona. You visited during the hottest part of the year but that was amazing flying over the grand canyon.
I’ve lived in phoenix for 13 years and only got to see the Grand Canyon once. I agree it’s a bucket list trip !!

I saw the Grand Canyon on horseback and flying over in a helicopter and yes it was an experience I'll never forget. Flying over Sedona was awesome too but you need to see it up close as well. Looking forward to more videos in September of your great American road trip. I know from experience that the camera just can't capture the true glory of the Canyon. You have to see it in person!

The Superstition Mountains are the other way from how yall were going they are east of Pheonix. The only reason I know is because we spent winter there

I was using a polarizing/mist filter which does that - I like the filmic look it gives it :)
