Do not listen to liars, yesterday I watched them live, an incredible band, Dawn is beautiful and to watch and to listen to, a package of good energy and groove, must see band once in lifetime (or more times)
I like her too!! She's hot!!! She can sing and she can hold her own, for sure!!!!! But I'm really speaking about The Brand New heavies "BRAND".... They are messing their BRAND up replacing N'Dea... that's a HUGE MISTAKE, I think....
Just to be clear. 1. N'Dea is extraordinary good for the band and for the genre itself. She it NOT irreplaceable though 2. This new vocalist is not THAT good. I mean, she is good, but not for the band. It is not their first choice and she's not their cup of tea either.. She would sing some good old jazz, and it would be perfect. For this kind of music u need much more punch and openness in vocals.

Know what you mean about 'the brand.' Then again, they already changed it SIGNIFICANTLY when they hired Nicole Russo in 2004. Dawn is nowhere near as big a change. Still, would like to know just what IS the deal with N' Dea. Not appearing in your own video, meaning the band can't either, is a bit of a rum deal for the fans after a seven-year hiatus.
Have you heard Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol. 1? That doesn't feature any female singers and is really great so the band instrumentalists must have something good. But I agree, it is disappointing that the original singer's been replaced, especially for me since I'll be seeing them perform on sunday.
N'Dea is the one that keeps leaving and coming back. What's the band to do in the meantime?? Furthermore BNH has always been a band FIRST, FEATURING a GUEST vocalist.

Dawn Joseph is amazing. Saw her last night at Victorious Festival, Portsmouth and damn she was good. And a beautiful woman at that too.
At some point the brand new heavies have to collaborate with Jay Kay of Jamiroquai. He auditioned for them years ago. I'd be in heaven.
