Wrong on all 5.... I'm a Cowboy from Texas and entered rodeos all over the country and grew up a ranch and plus traded day work with multiple ranches. Not to mention I know thousands of cowboys prob not a one of them wear any of those hats! Those are what city folks buy to go watch their first rodeo and where like once!
Your Stetson recommendation would be the 10x Shasta then...

All junk. You're better off going to eBay and bidding on a fur felt Western hat, like Resistol or Stetson, i.e.. Wool won't hold up.

Don't pay more than $100 for any of these, all bottom line hats only one notch above what is sold off a rack at a convenience store or carnival.
These hats are probably OK if you want something to wear a few times. These are inexpensive hats and would not last if worn everyday to work in. Anyone who knows hats can tell these aren't good hats.
How to say you ain’t no cowboy without saying it.
Most of these comments are full of shit. The Bozeman is a great hat. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Sure you can spend several hundred (or thousand) dollars on a hat and do better but for the price it is hard to beat not to mention it is made in America. One of the few hats they make big enough to fit my head (7 5/6). At the price they sell em for (less than $100) you can buy several of them so wearing them out isn't an issue. It is also a Stetson ... a hat brand every man should own at least once in his life.

I wouldn't care for any of these hats. Wool hats are, for me anyway, really, really uncomfortable in anything other than cold weather, and only the crushable wool hats hold their shape well.

These are all cheap, low quality hats. Wool felt hats will never last and is i.m.o. a waste of money. If you want a hat that will last, you will need a fur felt hat; rabbit, rabbit/beaver blend, or pure beaver felt if you want the best of the best. Wool is great, but not for hats.
