SNIPER STEALTH USERS BEWARE - we have confirmed, after this video was created and published, that this modification does NOT work on the Holley Sniper Stealth units. Instead of firing only the primary injectors on tip in/idle, it fires one primary and one secondary.

You enable the tps linkage but you also have to fill in the percentage when the secunairy is opening (40%)

You are absolutely right, and I did do that. The fundamental issue is that the Stealth (the one that looks like a carb) is wired differently and just doesn’t fire the correct injectors. This was a known issue before I bought it, but I didn’t do enough homework.

You also did not check at which TPS position the secondaries engaged *assuming you had a 4150* and you would have needed to enter that into the handheld as well. Then you would have needed to go into the downloadable software from Holleys website, and adjust the AE to TPS settings otherwise it would open the primaries till about 40 percent or what have you and the entire time the secondaries were closed they would be dumping fuel. Making the adjustment in the software allows you to shut the secondaries off until the tip in point.

Thanks for pointing that out. While I did not do it on camera, I set up the TPS position per the instructions and had no change. The bigger issue is that the 4150 "Stealth" variant just fires the wrong injectors, no matter what you do in the software. What you are stating DOES work for the standard 4150 Sniper, and I appreciate you sharing the info!

@@TeamZipTie I did the progressive just yesterday on the 4150. It helps a lot if your pushing a lot of power on a street vehicle. In your application I imagine your at WOT most of time?

@@thehurts9216 Sadly, I need to finesse the pedal a bit while on course, so the linear throttle doesn't help. I did extend the lever on the throttle to give me a little more control. Are you also running the "Stealth" unit (the one that looks like a carb) or the more standard unit?

@@TeamZipTie did you download the newest firmware for ecu onto the SD card and then upgrade said firmware to the ECU? I had to do that for my unit to function properly using the new linkage. Im on a standard 4150. Just recently installed a 383 with 512 hp and 500tq at the crank. Been having a hell of a time trying to get my idle where I want it but I'm not using the hyperspark. Just a 4x4 truck build for bragging rights and getting sideways in the dirt.

      @TeamZipTie  3 роки тому

@@thehurts9216 I did. New firmware, even confirmed with Holley. Evidently there is a fundamental difference in construction between the "regular" 4150 and the "Stealth." It will work on the one you bought, but not the Stealth. If Holley ever offered me an exchange on the unit, I'd get the one you have.
Those are some great numbers! Plenty to brag about, and probably a shit ton of fun sideways.

I cannot get rid of the stumble while accelerating using only the front two jets. I've done everything that EFIPRO recommends.

I gave up and went back to the standard linkage and setup with the four injectors. The car is tough to get started from a stop with the clutch anyway, so it's been working for me. I just wish it worked better for everyone.

Hy in the efisystempro page say:
This linkage should work great on your standard (non-stealth) Sniper 4-BBL throttle bodies, including the Sniper XFlow. It WILL NOT WORK on the Sniper Stealth throttle bodies. When you enable the progressive link on the Sniper Stealth configuration you'll find that fuel flows into one of the primary barrels and one of the secondary barrels. Sorry!
I don't know what they mean
    I don’t understand
I have sniper stealth 4150, you say the progressive linkage like you put works fine?

    • @TeamZipTie

That's really interesting. I did not see that at the time I purchased the progressive linkage. The car is at the tuner currently, but I'll talk to him and we'll see what is up. I'll report back right away.

@@TeamZipTie i really dont know why i find your boy racer ignorance so annoying. But i do. First, a flexplate has a job. A specific one. Its bolted to a hydraulic turbine, which is prone to loads that a clutch simply is not. Take a close look at a Ram "button". Note the thickness of this button at the crank flange and at the pressure or friction area. Now once you bolt this button onto the flexplate, it can no longer flex. Its just a ring gear for starting the motor. To call a button clutch a flywheel with no pressure plate is just flat out inaccurate. Its like saying aluminum flywheels with a friction insert arent flywheels either. Its just bullshit. A button clutch is a clutch designed to work with a flexplate....true story. But the button changes the function of that flex plate. God i hate roundy rounds.
