Thank you for the video on honey mushrooms. I live in Eastern Canada and have small piece of wooded land with plenty of honey mushrooms growing now in the month of October. Please note: if armillarea fungus can attack living trees it is not always the case. After 15 years of owning this woodlot, I have not seen any harm caused to living trees. It does however grow on stumps and downed hunks of wood. We, the fungus and I are getting along just fine. It eats the dead wood and I eat the mushrooms. I have lots of wood laying around and I am kind of wood rich but, money poor. I have always said, we can't eat wood, but in a round about way with armillarea's help, I can actually eat wood.
I found some yesterday and today I am cooking up to eat after your video confirmed to me I have the right ones. I found loads of cauliflower of the woods yesterday and Bolletes. Want to find Hen of the woods and shrimp. Thanx for this video. Its funny how the honey fungus looks so different as well at times in it's life. I have the earlier ones and older but only eating younger ones for now. I love birch polypore tea, turkey tail and artist conk tea. Started foraging about 6 months ago after growing own on blocks. It's cheaper lol
Pls add videos of how you cook all these mushrooms you found! Not that i want to eat (i wont find any of these here) but i love watching how they are cooked. 👅 Do honey fungus gives off blue-green glow in the dark?
Thank you so much for sharing! If you could stop moving your camera less around would be perfect!😉 It's easier to see the surface and under or if it's sticky on top of it ... 😊 Also, I liked it when you cut it in half to see inside of it ...
