If you think about it, it makes sense. He lived his life with his master, who taught him how to talk to women in a way that make them fall for him.
Honestly I’m surprised that the trope didn’t get annoying at all. It was quite funny seeing Ray casually rizz up girls whenever he meets one lol.

I don't know why I feel rakudai vibes from the latest episode. He defeats the monster teacher with that crazy look while freezing and losing blood. Amazing power, but he sacrifice a lot for it.

He’s only complex if you watch Heaven’s Feel or Oath Under Snow, which isn’t even part of the proper Fate Timeline.

I like OP protagonist shows. I watch them a lot. But what they need to stand out isn't just the protagonist being OP. If anything the OP trope makes it much more important for the MC and supporting cast to be interesting. There's never gonna be a doubt about the MC winning. So we need the framing to be fun. I point to shows like Slime, Overlord and Arifureta. All feature OP casts. But they've all got things that make them funny, intimidating, interesting or cute.
Thus show hasn't managed that yet. So far it's just a mindless time waster that I probably will forget about the moment the season ends.
I agree with you on your point of OP protagonists, but I disagree about this particular show. I find it to be one of the better anime this season.
Unfortunately I have to agree with your comment. This story actually has a great setting but they didn't execute it well. The anime also didn't seem great since the animation wasn't high quality enough to show off the MC's OPness.
Edit: If you don't mind reading then you should try reading "Emperor's Domination". The MC is so OP that these OP anime characters look like children compared to him.

I like op protagonist too but Ray isn’t the one for me. I like the show because its kinda funny, but comparing Ray to someone very similar in Glenn radars. Glenn is the more interesting character but Ray is dope

Opening is nice but anime is meh at best if you are interested in premise of the anime there is "Greatest magic master retirement plan" light novel which I recommend.
I think it's pretty good. It reminds me of the "Secrets of the Silent Witch" light novels, which I recommend.

Hmm the middle and end portion of the OP sounds the best, and while i don't recall what portion sounded the best in the ED I do know that in terms of section the OP had more than the ed in terms of sounding good, so TLDR imo the OP sounds better than the ed
