For whatever reason the subtitles aren't capturing speech ticks. She refers to herself in the third person. So when she says "I'm upset" she should be saying "Hina's upset".

Oda said the idea for the Warlord system was inspired by the real world use of Privateers. Back in the golden pirate age in our real world, countries would hire pirates to attack and rob the ships of their enemies granting them semi legitimate status to operate. It worked out for the pirates as they had some legal protection and it would help the nations as they could attack and cripple their enemies supplies with some level of deniability
@@TheDarkSatirist notable privateers included Captain Morgan, Francis Drake, John Hawkins, and Walter Raleigh. Several of these names will be relevant later in One Piece.

More-so than wanting pirates to keep having a bad reputation, I think it the reason for the cover-up is far simpler: the Seven Warlords are sanctioned by the world government. It is based on the real life concept of the 'letter of marque': the ability to plunder vessels without being punished for it. The mainstream logic is that the Seven Warlords also do stuff for the government from time to time (remember Mihawk in the live action?) but as a whole, the government needs to look like they are in control of their feral little seadogs. For one of them to bite the hand that feeds them and stage a coup in one of the nations that is a signatory of the World Government is a huge PR problem, and crediting their own marines who were on location with the success is the best way to spin the story. Rather than 'we never saw it coming', it becomes a tale of 'we know these scurvy sea dogs can't be trusted, so we kept a close eye on him and prevented him from doing real harm'. And sure, 'good' pirates protecting a country at this end of the Grand Line when they were powerless isn't convenient news for them either. Pirates laying claim to entire islands is a problem elsewhere in the Grand Line already, and I imagine they would not want that to start becoming an issue at this relatively peaceful corner of the Grand Line, either.
the reason why the government has the warlord system is because some pirates are too strong to capture without a big fight so they are allowed to fight and capture their enemies but they also have to answer when the government needs them to fight.

They translate Hina (pink haired Navy captain) into the 1st person, but she is actually speaking in the 3rd person. Like when she says "I'm disappointed" she is actually saying "Hina disappointed". In Japanese speaking in the 3rd person is usually only done by very young girls or woman trying to act cute, so it is eccentric that Hina is speaking this way, especially given that she otherwise acts cool and mature.

Man, King Cobra really is the best. He's such a good ruler. I'm excited for you guys to get to the next couple of episodes. The ending of this arc is great.
The problem is that the world government supports the 7 Warlords system. Sir Crocodile is untouchable to the Navy. If you follow the Marine codex, Tashigi and Smoker would not be allowed to act against Sir Crocodile and would even have to support him in defeating Luffy. Because on paper Luffy is a wanted pirate and warlords fight pirates and are on the side of the navy. However, since Smoker has proven that Sir Crocodile is responsible for the civil war and uses Dancepowder, which is a crime in the eyes of the world government, Sir Crocodile has lost his title and all of his subsequent rights and privileges. What hurts Tashigi is the fact that she supports pirates to defeat a greater evil like Sir Crocodile. Although she despises pirates, she is forced to help Luffy and the others so that the citizens of Alabaster can be saved because she is too weak to do it herself. It's a great disgrace and in the end it was no gratitude to Luffy that they weren't arrested. It was her pride that made her act like that. She couldn't stop Sir Crocodile on her own and couldn't defeat Luffy and co on her own. She didn't want to take the credit for a fight she didn't take. Oda is a genius.

When asking about Hina it is quite simple: Of course she is a Navy officer, but though her rank is not named so far, in general only higher Navy officers wear this white cape with the writing on it (it ironically says "justice", which we know is not the main concern of the Navy) - Smoker does not...
Girls, I'm from Costa Rica, I've been watching your channel since you saw the live action of One Piece and now I'm watching the series with you, simply the best anime
Remember that Nami spent most of her life using greed as a front to masquerade her feelings and hide the ultimate sacrifice she made. Such habits don't just die. Especially when they've been ingrained in the most impressionable development phase.
If you'd read the manga cover stories you'd have already encountered Hina. There's a manga cover story where Jango meets Fullbody then Hina after waking up on Ussop's island..
Nami misses Vivi, she's just not so great at admitting it. She doesn't care about the reward. Not really. The next two episodes will be the end of your first saga! The Alabasta Saga with Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, Drum Island, and Alabasta arcs. The journey is well underway.
Something very important about Luffy, which I believe Eichiro Oda already explained this early into the Series, is that he never kills his enemies. I think the reason is that he wants his opponents to watch their plans and ambitions fail. He wants to take their horrible "dreams" away from them. I think this was more or less his explanation.
Tashigi still has to really learn that her black and white view of the world isn't actually correct. She has learned that not every situation can be put down to "marines arrest pirates" all the time, but she still is trying to hold firm to her believes despite that. TIme will tell if she learns to ease up on her beliefs that "Pirates Bad" and "marines/government good".

now iam questioning myself, if i rushed it watching the series..cuz from these reaction it feels way way way more enjoyable than i felt back then.. the next arc is gonna be amazing with these 2 ppl
when i see people react the way you do to these early episodes, it makes me feel like im watching it for the first time... cant wait for the 200s.. and the 300s holy moly... and the 400s oh lord it just gets better and better idk how its possible ♥🥲
3:09 you gonna admit that the straw hats for putting on a strong face before collapsing to the ground from their injuries after Vivi left with her father is pretty wholesome and badass too
You both, do not forget ever Mr. 2
Cheers from Mty
戦争が終結した後のコブラの言葉はワンピース屈指の名場面

whats with 26:06 to 32:20 🤣🤣 i was wondering why it was 30 minutes when i clicked on the video.
yup something wrong with this upload....looks like it didn't edit correctly
Lol just 6 minutes of a black screen.
@@TheRaggedyDr well technick is not esay
For a moment I thought there would be a marvel-like sneak peek scene at the end of the credits 😂
@@marcondes711 or more outtakes like Jackie Chan credits often have.
I've been waiting for almost 130 episodes for Happiness Punch time...
Episode 128 is by far one of my favourite episodes 😂🤣
All i can think when i watch them watch one piece is how much they are going to love the recent arcs
Jango and Fullbody have their development covered in manga cover stories, you can read them, they're great 😂😂❤
9:15 He actually said, "EAT SHIT" xD
that Nami fake-out is always so hilarious XD !!!!
8:18 And Callum Kerr has some work to do for that for Season 2 of the live action.
Smoker is one of the more honorable Marines in the series which is why he’s a fan favorite.
Noticed ? how they stood tall till vivi and her father left
3:01 One Piece is always good at giving you wholesome and bittersweet feeling by the end of every arc. Oda is that good.
In my opinion episode 128 is by far the funniest of them all. I love Luffys magic trick, can laugh about everytime I see it.
the good thing is, this king just raised someone atleast as good and kind like himself ^^
Haylo asking what else the Government is covering up...what indeed.
"What is going on at the top?" "How much are they covering up?"
Those are excellent questions. Please keep them in mind as you continue watching.
Congratulations on getting to the end of the Alabasta Arc!
16:29 truth beyond comprehension
I of course love the story but the wholesome partying and them learning about their bounties are my favorite moments 🥹 the happy tears are real
BONCLAY IS THE GOAT, A REAL BRO, THE BEST
Django Dance Party - this is a video roughly telling the cover story that explains how Django and Fullbody wound up on a Marine ship.
The actual cover story itself provides more information. The cover stories are available online, but you want to look carefully because spoilers are everywhere.
At the end of each episode, there is an indication of what the next episode will hold. Please leave that part for us, as it is frankly important and gives enthusiasm and an impression about the next episode, and so on.
Man, King Cobra really is the best. He's such a good ruler.
I'm excited for you guys to get to the next couple of episodes. The ending of this arc is great.
Bon Clay makes you laugh, except when they make you cry.
Spreading Joy
Always love to see your genuine commotion and affection to the show! It's like you did had grown up with the series and this feeling is conveyed by your reaction vids every time! That's why I love your videos so much! You do connect to ALL the fans, new ones and old veterans in equal measure!! 🥰
I can't believe you are almost at the end of the second Saga of the series, it only goes up from here.
Bon-chan is best bro, mvp of the end of Alabasta.
Thank you, your angry, sad laughter represented me when I first saw this too... Next it will be even more emotional, always be healthy, I'm waiting for the next one 🎉
Bon Chan is the best straw hat of all time.
I’m sad that I reached this point with Haylo & Kiss cause this is my favorite reaction of One Piece so far but I’m still looking forward for you guys to get to some episodes in the anime soon. I can’t wait
16:56 no cap zoro big brother energy for chopper is unmatched
It's sad that the translations keep leaving out that Hina talks in the 3rd person.
Nami be the original OF model charging them to take a peak😂😂
I honestly didn't get the love for Smoker until THIS part. I totally get it now, and yeah, he's genuinely a good dude.
When asking about Hina it is quite simple: Of course she is a Navy officer, but though her rank is not named so far, in general only higher Navy officers wear this white cape with the writing on it (it ironically says "justice", which we know is not the main concern of the Navy) - Smoker does not...
@@NiersFloater smokers jacket says Justice
Girls, I'm from Costa Rica, I've been watching your channel since you saw the live action of One Piece and now I'm watching the series with you, simply the best anime
Smoker, a man who's a smoke and brings smoke
You still didn't understand Nami, she puts the money-grabbing pose to hide her real feelings. She was devastated from the separation.
"How many other instances are they covering up?" Oh we're getting there, don't you worry.
my favorite banquet, I cry with emotion
Remember that Nami spent most of her life using greed as a front to masquerade her feelings and hide the ultimate sacrifice she made. Such habits don't just die. Especially when they've been ingrained in the most impressionable development phase.
In the future Bon Clay a.k.a Mr.2 you love him so much for sure..!
"They spread joy" the foreshadowing 😮
The world government is so shady. They're the one that hired pirates as warlords and then are upset when those very pirates turn pirate.
CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! You almost pass the first big arc in One piece
@@kuribayashi84 Oda has stated that he believes taking away someone's dream to be a worse fate than death.
Skypea will be fire arc 🔥 can't wait for u guys to see
THE BANQUET AT THE END OF THE FIGHT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THIS SHOW
Congrats on getting through Alabasta and completing your second saga.
I'm happy you guys finish this arc
thank god I saw the "tell them to eat shit" version
Mr. 2 and Jango share the voice actor! I love both of them so much
You definitely will love Mr. 2!!
I can already See a sea of tears floating in, from the next Episode.
I hope they brought tissues for the next one...
Ah I'm so happy! Thank you so much!
Bon chan is a real one!!!
We got them theory crafting now guys. Ladies and Gentlemen, we got ‘em. 😂💯🔥
Bon-chan will always be a Straw Hat.
Always.
