Peace be upon you sir , I am an economy student from Algeria 🇩🇿 and I want to learn Data analysis from scratch, and of course R programming language is an important tool , so I chose your course as a start point to explore the world of R . The way of discovering the course was only by having some UA-cam reasrch, I'm very excited.....thank you sir .
I have always had interest in data science. Soon i will be the lead author in a research project. I have decided to get directly involved in the data analysis process. I hope to learn a lot from this course
Day 2 , Lecture 1 completed I will leave a comment daily for my learning log. Thank you sir for the wonderful lecture series its very helpful and its fun to learn.
Thank you so much for uploading this lecture series on UA-cam. It has become my main resource for learning R, and I really appreciate the effort you've put into creating and sharing this content! Unfortunately, I noticed that the website is currently down, so I'm unable to access the assignments mentioned in the lectures. Is there any way you could upload the assignments somewhere else or will the website be online again at some point?
Thanks for the kind words, the website should be back online. If you still run into issues please send me an email and I'll send you a zip file per email.
Buen curso acabo de suscribirme ojala haya mas videos de Rstudio para este año 2023 por favor, valoro mucho la aportación que hace usted. De todo corazón ÉXITOS en todas sus actividades diarias.
Nice class, thank you for making it available. Chupa cabra and capivara was awesome, hugs from Brazil ahah About python we have factors inside Pandas library when we are dealing with dataframes.
Thanks for all what you do!!!, pls as a beginner should I start with your data analysis using R (2021) or join this very class directly Thanks for your time sir
The link is under the figure is indeed not up to date. Hey! Thank you so much for the video! I'm really confused about the advice you gave regarding text editors toward the end of the video. What's the point of the text editors?
A text editor is for writing the code, in my experience it helps people to be better coders when they use a separate editor to write code in compared to people directly writing code in R. It helps you to structure your code better, and an editor can provide additional tools such as code highlighting and testing/matching opening and closing brackets.
Both are more or less the same information wise, that being said the 2022 version has been updated with comments from students and is the most recent/up2date one.
I have just rebooted the web server (I noticed it was down), the web site should be up again. If not, feel free to send me an email and I can send the assignments, data, and answers over to you in a zip file.
Thank you very much, Dr. I would be grateful if you could help me with the books. I have just a chance at your videos, and I trust they will bless me with statistics with R. Thank you for the great impact
Thanks for letting me know, I restarted the webserver it should be working again. If not, please drop me an email (it's on the about page) and I'll send you the material
Hello sir, I am an undergraduate in genetics. I am willing to pursue my master's in medical genetics, and I have thorough knowledge in human genetics. However, the main problem is I don't have any computational background to analyze data, particularly in NGS and other data analysis methods. Can you give me some guidelines about this? Also, is this course suitable for me?
Yes this course will teach you the basics of the R programming language, it uses examples from biology/bioinformatics as exercises so it's well suited for you. Regarding NGS, I have a 3x3h livestreams on my channel homepage to get you familiar with the ins and outs of the computational pipeline for sequencing data.
@@DannyArends I am a statistics student. my Lecturer recommend R for my IT Programme which will last for only 4months here in Nigeria. hope I will be able to learn it from you and also be able to perform a statistical analysis with the knowledge acquired from you?
The course is more about learning to program using R, but it does go into the statistics as well. So you'll definitely learn a lot from following the lectures here.
Salutations Dear Sir, I hope you are doing great. Sir i want to learn R for bioinformatics but i am not finding right now the videos in sequence. Please sir, let me know how can i find all these relevant videos herein? I would be highly thankful to you
Mostly theory and which tools/databases are out there. It's an introduction course, but combined with the R course you're going to have a good basis for further study of bioinformatics.
Really sorry about that, my web site was down 😔That's what you get for programming your own http server. Should be Up now. Let me know if you have an issue, if it doesn't work for you I'll post them somewhere on google docs or so
UA-cam has the option for closed caption. Click the CC button and it will show captions in English, if you click the cogwheel icon you can change the language to your own language (e.g. Turkish, Chinese, or German) and it will automatically translate the English captions into your own language. Hope this helps

Yes, the lectures assume you don't have prior knowledge of programming.
