For some reason, my mom mainly watched One Piece, vanilla minecraft/hermitcraft, and Markiplier while doing my hair when I was like 8. Sometimes she’d listen to creepypasta. Idk if it was a good idea bc Markiplier mainly played horror games and he curses a lot, but even with my dumb child brain I enjoyed his videos. I kind of agree that the opportunity showed up instead of planned. If it's planned, then that means the purpose of him making the gaming channel is because he wanted to edit games... NO. He wanted to play games. Learning animation is not directed to be used on using on mark's channel. It was a self thing. So, since all he did is not directed or intended to becoming mark's editor, The opportunity just showed up.

Honestly, I had been a long time fan of Markiplier’s but when your avatar started showing up in his videos I feel like the production value and the fun went up a lot. You don’t give yourself enough credit but we’ll do that for you. I remember your first Markiplier video, when it came out. I watched it and couldn’t stop smiling. “How cool would it be for someone to make an animation tribute to a video you made?” Pretty fricking cool I bet. Thank you Lixian for adding your own little bits of humor in there, they make me smile extra big whenever they happen.
As a young adult who's also into games, game devs and stuff, but who also has no idea what to do with their life, at this point, you and mark are such a massive inspiration for me to keep going forward and keep on doing my best, I cant thank you enough.

The way Lixian starts the video off talking aboutt how he first met Mark, all the clips he shows, and just the history that he talks about...its so weird hearing all of it because I was there for every step of the way. It feels so long ago now, haha, I discovered mark 10 years ago in 2012, and I always wondered if I would've been able to have the chance to meet him in person if I just happened to be older back then. I was 9 years old in 2012 and didn't even have my own YT account at the time, so I couldn't even leave comments. Markiplier was extremely interactive with his fans before he passed the ~750k-1mil sub milestones, and I've heard him talk about wishing to be interactive nowadays, too, it's just impossible with the size of his current fanbase. Its honestly sad seeing him grow up over the years and never getting that chance to interact with him (via sending him fanmail when he had a P.O. box, or visiting him back when he'd just show up at vidcon without a panel); But I'm so proud of Lixian being able to grow with Mark over the years because he is one of the few aspects that take me back to that time period. Its bittersweet seeing them skyrocket into the success they have today - Now that I'm finally old enough to do everything I would have done back then, their popularity makes it seemingly impossible to reach them as an ordinary fan. Regardless, I'm still so happy about the memories both Lixian and Markiplier have created over the last decade. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart.

The Lixian-Markiplier interactions are one of the best parts of Mark's videos. The compilation video is now one of my favorite videos on his channel. It has left me craving more 😅

I came into working for him AS an editor, and almost 2 years later I'm still constantly feeling like the edits I turn in are complete garbage, when in reality they are probably just mostly garbage. It's been so great to work with you, even if it can make me feel like an inferior editor at times (no hate to you, it keeps me pushing to do better), and this was an awesome look into how unplanned your entry into his world was. Honestly, when you started appearing as a regular character in Marks videos and giving it that little "pizaz", it's been great. Mark knowing when to start/end a bit that includes you and you being able to seemlessely insert the perfect animation to match it is so much fun.
Mark’s big brain when it comes to making decisions has paid him off so much. Also, I’ve been a subscriber since 2012 for Mark’s channel and I remember seeing your first animation for his channel. Wow, time flies.
I think another reason why you and Mark work so well is you've got a decent amount in common. You're just the quieter, sweeter version. You both have the same sense of humor it seems, and you both have TONS of drive and ambition. A lot of the same ethics and morals. Plus you're both kinda workaholics. You guys have a lot of chemistry and a lot of the same kinds of goals. I'm not really surprised at all that you gravitated towards each other to be honest. And I hope you both continue to happily work together for many many more years cuz this relationship is absolutely beautiful and the fact that you're BOTH boosting each other in experience, careers, and life is magnificent and rare. Honestly when I first started watching mark, it was before his FNAF era. I would watch your animations over and over again and when I got a notif of a markiplier animated, I was really banking it was you. Your style just had a thing me and my sibling couldn’t get enough of and we would just be dying with laughter while repeating a specific part over and over again. The day we found out that you were mark’s actual editor I ran to my sibling and was all excited and shit. We both still get excited like little school girls when you make a milestone like make a game or becoming a father. I can say on my brother’s behalf on how proud we are of you to make it this far, we really want you to keep up all this amazing work. Thank you for making part of our childhood. I wouldn't put it like that. A lot of youtubers have the thing of doing things by the book, stay trendy, do what's hot and be serious about it. Then you watch Mark's videos and you realize there is no Book. It's his carefree nature and pumping content because "he has no idea what he's doing" that kept him relevent. No one takes him seriously because he doesn't take his own self seriously either, that's why people love him at the end of the day. He's doing his thing, he's not thinking about it. But did Lixian upped the quality of his content? You betcha he did. Lixian has an almost inhuman eye to catch and highlight Mark's comedy and quirkyness through his editing and that made Mark's videos so much better.
@@raptros Mark has even come out and said that Lix's animations have helped make his channel what it is today. So to say that Lix has helped shaped his career is not taking anything away from Mark or his way of doing things.

Lixian is just that good of a story teller. He connected everything that has been so spread out. I like his stuff, but mostly his Markiplier edits.

The way Lixian starts the video off talking aboutt how he first met Mark, all the clips he shows, and just the history that he talks about...its so weird hearing all of it because I was there for every step of the way.
It feels so long ago now, haha, I discovered mark 10 years ago in 2012, and I always wondered if I would've been able to have the chance to meet him in person if I just happened to be older back then. I was 9 years old in 2012 and didn't even have my own YT account at the time, so I couldn't even leave comments. Markiplier was extremely interactive with his fans before he passed the ~750k-1mil sub milestones, and I've heard him talk about wishing to be interactive nowadays, too, it's just impossible with the size of his current fanbase.
Its honestly sad seeing him grow up over the years and never getting that chance to interact with him (via sending him fanmail when he had a P.O. box, or visiting him back when he'd just show up at vidcon without a panel); But I'm so proud of Lixian being able to grow with Mark over the years because he is one of the few aspects that take me back to that time period. Its bittersweet seeing them skyrocket into the success they have today - Now that I'm finally old enough to do everything I would have done back then, their popularity makes it seemingly impossible to reach them as an ordinary fan. Regardless, I'm still so happy about the memories both Lixian and Markiplier have created over the last decade. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart.

The Lixian-Markiplier interactions are one of the best parts of Mark's videos. The compilation video is now one of my favorite videos on his channel. It has left me craving more 😅

Dude... I came into working for him AS an editor, and almost 2 years later I'm still constantly feeling like the edits I turn in are complete garbage, when in reality they are probably just mostly garbage.
It's been so great to work with you, even if it can make me feel like an inferior editor at times (no hate to you, it keeps me pushing to do better), and this was an awesome look into how unplanned your entry into his world was. It seems as though that's a theme with this man.

Honestly, when you started appearing as a regular character in Marks videos and giving it that little "pizaz", it's been great. Mark knowing when to start/end a bit that includes you and you being able to seemlessely insert the perfect animation to match it is so much fun.

Out of all the Unus Annus editors, you're my favorite. I love the chemistry between you and Mark, it just cranks the comedy up to 11.
I think another reason why you and Mark work so well is you've got a decent amount in common. You're just the quieter, sweeter version. You both have the same sense of humor it seems, and you both have TONS of drive and ambition. A lot of the same ethics and morals. Plus you're both kinda workaholics. You guys have a lot of chemistry and a lot of the same kinds of goals. I'm not really surprised at all that you gravitated towards each other to be honest. And I hope you both continue to happily work together for many many more years cuz this relationship is absolutely beautiful and the fact that you're BOTH boosting each other in experience, careers, and life is magnificent and rare. I think that's exactly what friendship should look like and I feel insanely lucky to witness it.
“Luck” is when preparation meets opportunity and I think lixians story is a very inspiring example of that :)
My sister and I rewatch the “Lixian and mark interaction” compilations all the time. You’re literally so funny and your editing is amazing. You talked down about mark bringing the most but your editing skills give marks videos that “oomph”
Honestly when I first started watching mark, it was before his FNAF era. I would watch your animations over and over again and when I got a notif of a markiplier animated, I was really banking it was you. Your style just had a thing me and my sibling couldn’t get enough of and we would just be dying with laughter while repeating a specific part over and over again.
The day we found out that you were mark’s actual editor I ran to my sibling and was all excited and shit. We both still get excited like little school girls when you make a milestone like make a game or becoming a father.
I can say on my brother’s behalf on how proud we are of you to make it this far, we really want you to keep up all this amazing work. Thank you for making part of our childhood. Congrats on everything you accomplished

I wouldn't put it like that. A lot of youtubers have the thing of doing things by the book, stay trendy, do what's hot and be serious about it. Then you watch Mark's videos and you realize there is no Book. It's his carefree nature and pumping content because "he has no idea what he's doing" that kept him relevent. No one takes him seriously because he doesn't take his own self seriously either, that's why people love him at the end of the day. He's doing his thing, he's not thinking about it. But did Lixian upped the quality of his content? You betcha he did. Lixian has an almost inhuman eye to catch and highlight Mark's comedy and quirkyness through his editing and that made Mark's videos so much better.
@@raptros Mark has even come out and said that Lix's animations have helped make his channel what it is today. So to say that Lix has helped shaped his career is not taking anything away from Mark or his way of doing things.
@@jazminbolan-williamson6565 i have no doubts Mark wasn't just saying that, i think this was a combination made in heaven, and a part of me feels extremely happy for lix cause i'm Portuguese too, and i can't imagine how tough must be to work with someone from a completely different setting and background without even being there. They never met personally, Lix never been to the US, Mark's been to Europe but not to Portugal... The day these two collide in real life, can you imagine that?

Bro, I was introduced to mariplier in 2018 and let me just say, you are a bad ass editor. Editors are to UA-cam content what studio engineers are kick ass albums. The relationship between you and mark is one that makes the content better by providing him with time to do what he does and you to put together a kick ass final cut. That's an amazing journey man. On my side of the story, I was barely able to make through Chapter 1 and my contact with him pretty much vanished (which is understandable since he's busy).
