Good morning Tay, the problem with your gutter cleaner is everything is wore out. That sprocket that you are saying is wore will be attached to a vertical shaft, that shaft has two big nylon bushings, if they are wore out, it will make that sprocket run on a slight angel and cause the chain to fall off. The bushing is not too expensive but the job of taking it apart will be fun because it has been caked in agricultural waste for years.💩 I have done it on mine. Those old links are good for a handle on a draw pin, simply cut the hook part off and weld the big part on the pin, perfect fit for a hand. Take care 🇨🇦👍🚜❤️

Good morning Taylor from a snowy Wisconsin. Your weather patterns really change quickly in Maine. In one videos there’s snow on the ground and in the next the sun shines . I know manure is the main source of fertilizer for your hayfields but how long do your hayfields stay productive before you have to replant it? As much fun as you had making this video we had even more fun watching it. I was waiting for a splotch of manure to hit your camera when it was positioned on the ground but it didn’t happen. Taylor, you have one of the most beautiful smiles so keep smiling, keep farming, and enjoy your late lunches. 🚜🐄😉❤️❤️❤️

Hi! Hope your staying safe and warm in that snow! Yes, Maine weather changes pretty much by the minute 😂. That’s an excellent question about the reseeding. I can’t really answer it precisely but I do know that they have not been reseeded in the 10+ years that I’ve been working on the farm and they are testing well and seem to be growing very well still. Thanks so much for watching, hope to hear from you soon! 😊

There's a bushing in that shaft where the big wheel goes, you should replace that while it's out! I had problems with the chain kind of falling down so the cog didn't catch the chain, I built the shut up on the out side, not the return side, with a 1/4 in.x 3ft. plate steel so it would catch the chain, worked for a while, but finally had to replace the bushing! I think it's brass! You're pretty funny!

The International 1066, like other models in the International Harvester lineup, has left a lasting legacy in the history of agricultural machinery. Many farmers and enthusiasts still appreciate and use these tractors today.
The International 1066 is considered a classic tractor and is often sought after by collectors and those who appreciate vintage farm equipment. Its durability, versatility, and the distinctive design contribute to its enduring popularity among agricultural machinery enthusiasts.

Good Morning Ms Tay. Enjoyed the video as I always do. As I’ve said before, I live in Maryland and it’s cold and dreary here so I can bet that it’s much colder in Maine which brings me to asking why you don’t have something on covering your head and hands.
You are definitely a one of a kind. It’s just unbelievable the kinds of things you do on the farm and the elements you are subjected to, i.e., cow poop, dirt/grime and weather. And you just take it in stride…..Just Remarkable. Many times I sit here watching your videos and I catch myself just shaking my head at what you do. Ok, until the next video, please stay warm, stay just the way you are, be safe and take care. Thanks again. You’re wonderful.

Ah, the joy of manure spreading. Shame it comes to an end. We never had a spreader freeze up. However, we always used rear discharge spreaders Pitchforks, shovels, and wheelbarrows. That is the way we loaded the spreader. We also farmed about 25 acres of corn and chopped it and blew it into the upright silo for feeding during the winter months. Fun and more fun. I really enjoy your videos. Reminds me of the good times of farming. Have a great day and God Bless

    Taylor, Great video.
    Slingers are the best spreaders.
One thing i would recommend is finding a deflector for the discharge chute. It will make spreading so much adjustable and accurate. You will be able to do shorter width and more consistent spreading, just makes it nice overall to have that option.
The other thing, if you ever get a slinger with a cover, it will change your Life 😂, but definitely makes it nice with liquid and being able to go faster without the slosh being a problem.

If they are hardened teeth they may break off after welding but it might work and save you from removing the sprocket. Just a thought from an old man. God bless !!! Eddy

Don’t ether a tractor unless turning over, it breaks rings believe me as a kid they told us on a under power overhaul that ether into a cold setting engine and not warming the tractor would break rings, some town kids around here used it when in a tough spot, caused a overhaul

In our country in the Netherlands it is not allowed to spread out manure after September 15 and it is allowed again after February 15, this is to prevent the manure from being washed off into the ditch, so that the groundwater remains clean of nutrients, but I think that Esther is regular there may be an exception, so that it has time to digest,

G'day Tay. We used to have the same Patz stable cleaner chain and transmission. Changing the end sprocket will likely be a big help. Is your sprocket running straight or is it loose? Did you check the bearing that the sprocket runs in as well? If the bearing is worn too much (and it probably is being that it is the original), the chain won't run straight and will slip off the sprocket. It's likely a combination of old, stretched chain and worn out parts. It happens. Good luck with the repairs 😊.

A weld shop may be able to plasma cut a sprocket to match the chain pitch .

Great video, we always spread our manure pile in the spring, must have been too busy in the fall. Is that a Patz barn cleaner? We had a Clay barn cleaner, that was orange and green colors. Have a great day and thanks for sharing.

Glad to see the international is inside for the winter. Any room for the massy? It’s hard on tractors to sit out all winter. Have a great day
