I've got a theory that all the fuel caps you buy at Canadian Tire or whatever the equivalent everything store in the States is aren't actually manufactured anymore, they're just sent in from gas stations all over the country and repackaged.
I've gone through 2-3 in about 5 years, you always feel so dumb, I drive a lot for work and fill up frequently, it only takes one thing to distract you when you're done filling up and it stays on the car.

these aren't exaggerations. I was so drunk once and got kicked out by some d*ckhead bouncer from a club.. 2 cops in melb, literally escorted me into entering another nightclub.
They rather you and others be safe by avoiding you driving than straight up arresting you, cops here only arrest you if they have too, they rather find a solution and give a fine because off duty they are pretty much the same haha
Because of my job I am on first name with the cops around me and although they are unfailingly professional, the one time I met a rude cop he had an American accent and even his partner looked at him like he was nuts when I made a joke about them parking on the verge in front of a bank. Aussie Cops deserve respect because they give respect or at least the illusion of respect even to assholes.

I’m from QLD, My dad is a cop and if he isn’t in the clock he doesn’t do anything even remotely cop related, he won’t stop to help at an accident, he won’t prevent potential crime, pretty much nothing. The only 2 times I saw him do anything of the clock it was once when I guy was going at least 85km through a school zone peek time, and when the second requires a quick back story;
So my mum grew up on a cane farm, when my parents were first living together it was in the city, since they were high school sweethearts when they first got got together when dad was in year 12 and mum was year 11 they were obviously not living together. dad moved to Brisbane right after school to go to the academy which at the time was for 18month instead of 6 like it is now, and mum followed him a year later to go to uni, and they moved in together at the end of mum’s first year, married a year after that then moved to emerald to do the year of remote work both their jobs required and then 6 years later got knocked with yours truly and moved back to bundy to be closer to mum’s family. They Brough a house in town initially but when I was 4 and a half brought a small property next to my grandparents farm. At this point it was the first time my dad had experienced living anywhere where there were foxes about, idk what mum’s excuse was here for her part in this next incident, maybe it just didn’t click after being away from the farming area of the town for over a decade. One night dad hear what to him sounded like a woman being raped (hate to know how he knows what that sounds like) out in the cane in the paddock in-front of our house, so he bolted out the house to try to helps with a big torch and screaming that he was a police officer and the ‘man’ was under arrest, back up was coming, stop, don’t hurt the women, ect. With instructions to my mum to phone it into the local station since that would be quicker than 000. After doing that mum called her dad to tell him what was happening so they didn’t worry when they saw the lights and sirens. My grandy then very awkwardly told my mum that when foxes ‘root’ it sound like a high pitched human scream 😂. My mum informed my dad of her newfound discovery and awkward convo with her dad and he relaxed a lot after that, but called the station back and they decided to still do a quick sweep to make sure just in case but agreed it was probably foxes since it didn’t stop with dads yelling and threats which would have stopped most perpetrators from finishing what they were doing. Sure enough it was a couple fixes going at it…. Dad dint live that one down for a while 😂😂😂.
It’s true that most cops here won’t do anything when off duty here though, though there are of course some who will and they are typically the ones who will still breathalyse and/or ticket other cops (which in my opinion they all should be doing as they are meant to be held to an even higher stranded then the general public, and should be focusing more on that fact rather then letting their mates off and/or protections public image) and aren’t very popular with their colleagues.

Please read of my experience with NSW Cops on the Central Coast NSW.
I don't agree since they wouldn't let me get on the train, even though I had a free travel card due to having a DVA Gold Card, because I had to go see my DVA Psychiatrist in Sydney and I live on the Central Coast and even the Transport NSW worker said I'm allowed to travel with that card.
I even let them know that I have to see my Psychiatrist in Sydney due to having bad moments of wanting to end it all lately.
They still wouldn't let me travel even after they were prove wrong by the transport employee.
When I finally asked "Why can't I go and see my DVA Psychiatrist"?
His response was "Because I said so".
I sat at home for three days wanting to end it all.
So if you think that Aussie cops are chill, then I challenge you to come to Brisbane Waters Command of Central Coast NSW and see what lowlifes they have in their ranks.
Hello I am sorry you had such a terrible experience there always one crook cop. If it wasn't long ago you can still report that officer with the time it roughly happens, and what station also the person who told them you could still travel write a statement about it. And if you missed your appointment for that day get your doctor to write the day and time you missed out....this will be all evidence...the cop may only get a slap but the more people that report on a crook cop the better. I had to report a police officer not long ago as my son has ASD loves trains and was recording the first 3 cops walked past the 4th police officer well...was trying to bully my son but lucky he carer stood up to the police officer....I reported the matter to bring awareness there are people who love trains and mean no harm.

Was having a sending off party with a bunch of mates for one of ours that was moving to London. Was leaving a bar called "Transport" in the Melbourne CBD totally tanked after 14 Strongbow ciders. Literally puked up halfway across the pedestrian crosswalk all over a cops shoes. There were four of them. Figured I was going straight to the drunk tank. Guy was like:"You better be gone by the time we come back here, and don't let me see you at another bar." Aussie cops. The best. 👍
