Walter Becker producing "Flaunt The Imperfection" and "Diary of a Hollow Horse" was absolutely wondrous and elevated those China Crisis Songs to the next level. And, YES, I much prefer ALL the Walter Becker produced songs on "Diary of a Hollow Horse" over Mike Thorne's. I'm assuming that was a label decision to have Mike re-record songs on that album. BAD MOVE. There is NO way Mike is better than Walter with China Crisis material. Impossible. Thank you Gary for such a wondrous tribute. Much love.
