- Here are ALL of the Upgrades we made when Building our First Home.
Our Almeria Two by McDonald Jones Homes forms part of the NOW Series range of homes. It was completed in 2020, so some items may vary in price and availability.
We were able to stick to a pretty tight budget whilst upgrading everything that was important to us.

You made the upgrades “during construction” ??

We did make these upgrades during the pre-construction process, so before the building actually stared 😄🏠✨
We are pre-contract but I went to town with my electrical appoint pick up bits and pieces from your videos. Recessed my stacker tracks thanks to you. It’s exactly what I wanted but completely forgot that I did! I will also be adding fly screens at some point after the build.
Question though. Your black steel screens look great. My home will be all white window frames. I haven’t seen white steel screens on stacker doors…
I think I’ve answered my question. I was thinking security screens. The steel will still be black but the frame will be white. :)

Hi Courtney. Were those formwrap/2Pac kitchen cabinets or standard? Drawers are a great idea.

The kitchen cabinetry is standard.
Yes, the drawers are far more functional and a better use of space in my opinion.
