I don't understand why any woman would ask this kind of question to a man ever. Then if they were to get so upset and wonder why they aren't emotionally available they don't understand how society shapes men since boyhood from the day they learn to talk to not express their feelings and are told to "man up", "stop crying like a baby" or "boys don't cry" because to men crying is a sign of weakness because they are carried with a burden that they have to be this emotionless being that society expects from them and would often bottle up their emotions and deal with them on their own and not tell anyone about it. And at times, there are women out there that would say "if you're a real man, you wouldn't be feeling this way." And yet women still wonder why the suicide rate is four times higher in men than it is in women

For men, if they show their emotions or cry, they're often made fun of or would be judged but if a woman cries or gets emotional it's seen as "empowering", they get sympathy from others around them and they are comforted. Reason why is because for women they're not only allowed to be emotional, they're expected to unlike men and that's a shame
