I'm jealous that we don't have shops like this in the US. The closest is Caswell Massey, which is actually a 266-year-old firm that (thankfully) is under new ownership and has gone back to their original recipes and their archives to recreate their historical perfumes. But there's nothing like this. I love watching these videos and seeing all these precious attars, oils, and traditional methods preserved.
You're missing it. You will find perfume oils shops in long lines

oh man, how cool, I wish I could experience Ittars like you do. Yes, ruh Kus is very very good, very calming and the silage is very good. Oudh and Sandalwood are my favorite, but I also enjoy Ruh Khus because it is something so unique. I am not Indian but I love Indian culture, and my favorite Lassi is Rose Lassi and Khus Lassi.

Thanks Nikhil for the reference..met with Ayub Bhai and spend more than an hour there..got s.hind and 3mm from your recommendation..Told me to see Aoud how I like it...Azreki, dahn al oud was too strong for my liking... maybe not mature enough to enjoy those... their shamama moh was also wonderful. Got their absolut Rose awesome stuff

hey nikhil glad to see you in mumbai.good news surrati perfumes have arrived in mumbai with a big showroom. its worth visiting ull forget md ayyub nd sons coz ive been there no doubt the owner is a gentleman.
Been to surratti somehow they don't seem interested in retail..e.g. terre de Hermes one tola was 1000 and he said you can buy 1000ml for 10K, now that's ridiculous mark up for retail

Have you also tried the Hindi Kadim Oud chips? I bought H3 chips from them and they’re really nice. But what would H2 or H1 be like?? Do they last longer than H3? Or is the smell stronger?
