Thank you so much. I did not understand why I was not smelling my perfume. I was applying to wrist only and was missing the pulse points on the neck and collarbone. What a difference! Now, I am able to enjoy my perfume all day!

Hi, Nikhil this video is really good. But still I have some questions like if anyone has oudor in under-arm and if he is using ittar. Then should he apply ittar on under-arm? or what he should do to prevent this problem?

@@souravsarkar4143 shave, clean and use deodorant sticks or roll ons.
I use simple nivea deodorant sticks since my adolescents, and it does pretty decent job nothing too fancy, I think it suppress the sweat receptors or something, no idea just guessing, but ya it does its job decently.

@@souravsarkar4143 use and antiperspirant. The bad odor from your armpits happens because you sweat and that sweat harbors a bacteria that smells bad. Antiperspirants (aluminum based specifically ) are the best keeping you sweat under control (to an extent) and neutralizing the bad odor. You can get the unscented kind to allow your fragrance of choice to be you only scent. Don’t worry about people fear monger about the so called Aluminum dangers. Aluminum is safe in that capacity.
      I hope this helps you

Thank you so much for this! I ordered some Isphahan Oud Attar oil online because it sounded like something I would enjoy, but when I got it and used it the way I normally apply perfumed oil, it was waaaaaay too strong! I appreciate the tutorial - it is now perfect and quite enjoyable!

Isphahan oud is a super strong scent. I have a sample from Dior which is a cologne not oil and it will last like 2 days even when washed.

Oud Isphahan is notorious for hanging around. I wore it in my car weeks ago and I still get wafts of it. That was the EDP. The oil is generally stronger which is why I mainly wear oils

Sound advice there. I also use some neutral moisturiser at the pulse points, before applying the fragrance, which can help to give to give some further longevity.

Thanks so very much for these tips! I had no idea how to apply such precious stuff. I have only recently acquired my first attar, and have clearly not fully utilized its magic due to poor application. I shall try these tips this week. Mahalo!

@Jon which Attar did you acquire, Sultans?

    • @jonkomatsu8192
      @jonkomatsu8192 7 років тому

Mujtaba Hussain Naw, so far nothing as exotic or precious as the really fascinating items Nikhil has shown. That, hopefully, will be in my near future once my finances stabilize.
But just a couple of Xerjoff's mainstream offerings I discovered at a local niche shop, I guess like the "minor leagues" of the attar food chain: Oud Luban, Java Blossom and, what has turned out to be an amazingly lovely rose/oud combo to my nose, Warda Al Oud--it sparkles with this uncanny effervescence.
These really got me intrigued with attars and, judging by what Nikhil has shown on this channel, a whole new universe of olfactory delights awaits. So fingers crossed, I shall soon be snagging some of his suggestions soon. See ya!

So I just started wearing attar about a week ago, and u got a 3ml and I can't even tell that any is missing. I've been using it every day too, so I can tell it'll last for a pretty long time. Especially since you don't really have to reapply it throughout the day. I put some attar on last night around 7 p.m, and I can still smell it at 2:38 p.m today.

Perfume stick should not touch the skin (but only the clothes). After touching the skin and put inside the container as the habit, the perfume smell will gradually decrease (as the sweat react with the oil/chemical).

Your video just clarified that for me. Btw please do a video on how you buy ittars. The one you did on perfumes was great, but ittars are so different. Also they are never in places where I can try on day 1 and go back on day 2 to buy.

Hi Nikhil, this is Jay Han, a big fan of yours. I've learned everything about attars from your by UA-cam for many years. A month ago, I've introduced your UA-cam channel to the biggest Korean perfume society (a Korean version of Fragnantica), which I've joined recently. Actually, the mother of perfumes, Attar, is not well exposed to Korean people. So I've been introducing it step by step to my people. I'll post my short writing on 'how to apply attar" on this society, which is a non-profit one, and I like to use a screen capture of this UA-cam clip and post this link (also I will post your UA-cam channel again). Please kindly allow me to do. Thanks in advance and please stay healthy and safe. Cheers

Hi Nikhil, I was exploring lot of stuff related to oud. I wanted to know about any safety aspects related to attars, oud and other alcohol based perfumes for that matter. I mean we apply these on our skin directly and pure oud oils are ofcourse natural, hence may be safe... what about others in general. I live in india. I go to an Ajmal store for example and they have perfume oils ranging from rs 400 - upwards. from synthetic blends, Oud Mukhallats and other blends. As far as I have searched , pure oils would cost 30k n upwwards (please correct me if wrong). I dont know if I am thinking way over my head, but just wanted to know if you came across any info regarding these aspects in your journey.

When Attar Perfumers say Natural, it mostly means alcohol free. Yes pure oud is very costly. But in a attar 100% is not oud.its blended with other fragrances.

I put a few drops of perfume oil into my body cream, I think this is a great way to put the scent all over your body

Ekdam thik bola hay aap ne. Nemat ka jo Majmuah ha o skin pe lagane ke bad gentle rub karne se aur bhi mehkta hai. Projection bhi achha deta hay. Just my personal opinion.😊
