Larry and Lau are both tremendously gifted. When Lau dances though, he seems to match perfectly the whole energy and essence of the song with his every movement. It is just like he isn’t even really trying. He is just breathing the music in and out comes the music in motion.
You are kind of right, I think Larry does it too, but is less poetic in his interpretation of dance. More about on point moves.

@@_Bat-Man_ I imagine Laurent has been legitimately depressed since he's been hurt for a lot of 2015, 2017, and 2018. Even 2016 I think he might've been hurt since in his battle vs Paradox you could see how stiff he was trying to do his death drop. He really hasn't been able to show out except for their exhibition battles, KOD, and Red Bull in 2016/2017. Larry's probably mad he's been taking so many undeserved Ls but likely blames himself still even if he thinks he should have won like RBH, Battle Bad, and Summer Dance Forever the past few years. Especially since Laurent being hurt puts a lot more pressure and strain on him to go hard and take on everyone by himself when they're called out at workshops like in Maryland.
@@AuRevoirTune, cheers for the explanation. You know, having only recently followed Les Twins, I didn't realise the no of years that Lau's been dancing, whilst carrying an injury. I've always been amazed at how Larry's kept himself physically fit - sustaining less injuries than his twin. What's his secret?
@@Jennifer-qy5dy Well for starters I think Larry might have a workout routine he sticks to or something. In an interview a few years ago I remember Laurent saying Larry has some crazy alien workout. However overall, it comes down to their dance styles. Laurent does all these crazy acrobatic moves that really drain his energy while also going off with full body movements in his dance moves. Larry's style is mostly isolations and footwork so the only injuries I'm aware of for him are minor toe/foot injuries. Laurent constantly has knee issues going as far back as I think 2007/2008 when he went down during some Dancehall battle or whatever. If you really pay attention to videos, especially in 2015, you'll see Laurent holding his knee, getting stretched out by Larry, and overall being scolded by Larry for doing anything crazy. it's the main reason you constantly see Larry telling Laurent to chill.

Laurents last freestyle had my jaw on the ground.❤❤❤ Sooo glad to see he can still do the death drop. And sooo excited to see them battling again. They get better and better EVER-SINGLE-TIME!!! Their energy is on a whole other level
Laurent is back to being the best dancer in the world after being hurt following how amazing he was in 2016 in my opinion. I also love seeing a bit of Laurent in Larry's dancing here. He looks so much more fluid and loose compared to how technical he usually dances.
@Tyler a healthy Laurent in beast mode is unbeatable.
@@charmainglass9096 Yup, but the issue is his dance style is likely why he's not healthy often. I really like the style Laurent showed in 2016 at Red Bull, 2017 KOD, and this battle here. A lot more graceful, in control, and fluid. Back in the 2012~2014 era where he would go all out he'd tire himself and lose control or get a little sloppy at times along with constantly getting hurt.

I saw a comment that said they should be judging instead of competing. I disagree. Their genre is battling. Other types of dancers are not expected to sit down because younger dancers arrive on the scene. If teenagers wanna battle, that’s cool. But, since there’s no age distinction, they gotta be prepared to battle legends. They’ll probably lose but, they are up close with the masters. If they keep coming, one day it’ll be their turn. I say - do what you love for as long as you can. Sooooo glad Les Twins still got it.

I agree and win or lose we know with everything they have accomplished for almost a decade they have nothing to prove anymore except to maybe all their haters that want them to go away. There will come a day when Les Twins will stop dancing but today is not that day.

Nah I don't agree to this, I mean I want them to still dance just as a hobby and not professionally except once in a while, I want them to do other things that will fetch them millions without them stressing themselves like this and they are not getting younger and they get injured most of the time which can lead them into doing drugs to numb that pain

I mean, and this is my fourth comment for this video because I am so excited about this, but I imagine most dancers go into battle to go hard to win. But with Lau, he can do little movements, he’s not even worried about it. If you go into a battle like this and can just dance little, you are a true artist. I have always thought that when Lau starts out small, watch out. It is going to blow your mind.
